Ivy Rehab for Kids

They are extremely rude I called to see why they gave me the run around about trying to transfer locations from the Newtown location and after the 5th call they finally admitted it was because of their attendance policy and said that I didn’t cancel appointments in enough time which is absolutely ridiculous my child is 2 and has other appointments so things come up and I have to adjust her schedule I can’t help that welp they don’t care do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. I got completely fed up and discharged my child from them completely and I found better flexibility with a new private therapy facility who has a unique way of helping children learn not the cookie cutter route Ivy uses.

I have to say I had some great therapist and not so great therapist at Ivy rehab. Formally Theraplay. I do not like the fact they cut speech down to 30 minutes. The turnover for therapist is awful. No one seems to stay long term there. Which always is a set back for my son who gets use to his therapist. He doesnt do well with change so having a different therapist each week isnt an option for us. As for the desk. Michelle is amazing and always understands if I have a last min cancel. Always fits us in when needed. The other woman ( I dont know her name thank God or she would be put on blast) is rude and arrogant. To the point I may look for a new place if depending on the manager Heidi 's outcome after she calls me back. I suffer my own health issues and wont be reprimanded if I have a last minute cancel. Which was 23 hours btw. They require 24 hour notice. But if I wake up with my migraine or my sickness , I will have no choice but to cancel. If this is about money Ill go elsewhere. Michelle never treats me like a child like this other unprofessional thing did today.

Staff is always pleasant and helpful even at times when we are very stressed with our kids problems they are always calm and supportive! I have been taking my kids for more that 3 years now and I drive 30-45min twice a week. Without their help my son wouldn't be able to improve his speech! I would never change them!!

They do not have enough occupational therapist which causes them to cancel appointments all the time. The staff did not care that they continuously cancel appointments and the lack of support for my child. Back to square one looking for OT in Delco area.

Been here with my child over a year, previously TheraPLAY and we love it. The staff are all very patient, caring, and accommodating. I found out about them through a mom group and always tell people who are looking for services, to reach out to them. I assumed we needed a referral/ to be sent here. Once I mentioned to doctor for prescription they had no problem. I am so happy we are apart of IVYRehab and cannot recommend them enough!

We have been incredibly lucky to work with many caring, thorough therapists since beginning services in July 2021. Two and a half years later and we are receiving quality care for our son across OT, SLP, and PT. We’ve built a strong relationship with the team he sees and really value their insight and guidance. Thank you for being a part of his childhood in such a meaningful way.

The PT team at Theraplay in Broomall was truly remarkable. We went to PT once a week for 13 months and started when my son was 2 months old. We rotated through the 4 different PTs which was great since they all have different styles. They were incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome/comfortable. We never felt like they were out of the loop since they took good notes each week on what we worked on in our session and goals for next time. We did really feel that it was a team approach and they did a great job communicating with each other between each session. Not only were they encouraging of my son, they were also supportive of us as we navigated this new space as first time parents. They taught us, as parents, how to take the skills we covered that day and institute them at home, which was so important in making progress. Bonus: the staff who schedule appointments are super accommodating to the best of their ability. Highly, highly recommend.

My daughter was diagnosed with a stroke 3 days after birth. We started her in therapy when she was 4 months, PT & OT. With the help of the amazing therapist she is doing so well. I truly feel like they care for my daughter as if she was their own. We’re so lucky to be working with a great team. Thank you for all you do!
