Ivy Rehab for Kids

I just want to give the Newtown team a big thank you for not only helping me with my son but also the resources the team gives you to continue to support you and your family. I am grateful for the front desk staff Karen for my intake and getting Tremaine in for OT services. Thank you to Monica for doing our initial evaluation and to Ms Emma for scheduling our follow up appointments. The whole staff in general is amazing. Facility was nice and clean not only did I feel comfortable my son(s) feel comfortable as well. Continue the good work with helping us families in need.

My son Jay’Ceon has been getting service with Ivy for about almost 3 months now for his emotional regulation and hand writing and I must say I am so proud and impressed with how he has responded to therapy. He is always excited when it’s time to come to the facility. I do want to thank Ms. Brynn Jay opened up very well with her as well as the rest of the OT team and that is something that is hard for him to do. We appreciate the Newtown staff for all that they do. Special thank you to Ms. Karen she’s a breath of fresh air. Thank you all for you work and dedication to the children and us families.

I've been taking my two toddlers here for about 2 years and have nothing but great things to say! My 4 year old has been getting speech therapy for 2 years and every therapist he's seen has been amazing. His language has exploded since being seen there. My 2 year old has been getting OT and PT and the therapists in that area are extremely knowledgeable. They helped with his low muscle tone, sensory dysfunction and feeding issues. They are seriously the best! Karen at the front desk is amazing. She always tries to accommodate our busy schedule and always fits us in when needed. Highly recommend the Newtown location as they are simply the best!

Both of my children are seen here and everyone is awesome! The front office is so kind and helpful for with scheduling. All of the therapists are kind and patient and really know their stuff!!! Through the years we have seen many therapists and they are the best! We drive 40 minutes 2x a week to see them!

Ivy Rehab is such a great place, Karen that runs the front desk is always super helpful and kind. both of my kids love her and I appreciate all she does for me and them! she works with me and helps me out if my schedule is a mess and i’m so thankful for her! we also love when my child is with Miss Julia. She’s my daughters favorite and has learned so much from her and every other therapist she’s worked with! I highly recommend this office to anyone and everyone with kids that need the therapy they offer here!

Amazing staff, and a clean facility. If you are looking for a place that truly looks out for the child's best interests. This is the place for your family. The therapist look to connect with the child, to have them feel comfortable and successful during their sessions. Frequent progress reports and check in’s allow you to track the progress. Realistic goals are set and instructions on how to continue to build on the child’s progress are made available to parents. (This has been the most beneficial for my family). This place had made an amazing difference for my child’s development. I truly can’t say enough of the great service.

My daughter has been receiving speech services for a little over 3 years and my son has been receiving speech services just under a year. I can not say enough good things about the therapists here. My daughter has improved so much and my son as well. I would definitely recommend Ivy Rehab Newtown!

When this location was Theraplay, they offered 1 hour appointments for speech therapy. After pleasantries and updates, the patient would net about 35-45 minutes of care. Now that they are Ivy Rehab, they will only book 30 minute slots for speech therapy. So, now the patient nets about 15-20 minutes of care per appointment. The rates have not changed. Ivy is effectively providing half the care that Theraplay provided at this location for the same rate. That said, the providers and staff were friendly- hence the 2 stars. But they were not worth the 50% decrease in service. My advice to other parents, find a provider that will give your child the time they need.
