Great homemade food with mountain cabin vibes! I got the bbq chicken sandwich and it was super tender and tasty, but desperately needed salt (I never am one to add salt but had to). The crumble pie was one of the better pies I’ve ever had, so that’s worth it! I thought their chili was a tad over salted and too much cumin for my preference. Everyone seemed to like their meal and I’d come back if we visited Tucson again!

Spent the weekend with friends at their cabin on Mt. Lemmon. Went for breakfast at the Iron Door before embarking on a hike down to Marshall Gulch. The Iron Door has an agreement with Ski Valley across the street to offer discounted lift tickets (ask the wait staff for details) which we used for the ascent to begin our hike. When it’s over 100°F in the valley, the cooler mountain air and surrounding greenery are much appreciated and breakfast on their balcony patio is a great way to take it all in, abundant hummingbirds flittering about. The balcony has a lattice wood covering which attenuates the bright sunlight (and makes your photos look a bit wonky) — bring your sunglasses anyway. Four of us dining. The orders included 1) a Cheese & Veggie Omelet ($15.51), 2) Two Eggs & Meat/Bacon ($13.44), 3) Black Forest Breakfast with Strudel ($17.58) and I ordered 4) the Hungry Man with a brat and pancakes ($18.62). According to the receipt, they source their coffee ($4.65) from Tucson’s own Coffee X Change. Total with tax, pre-tip, came to $74.06, with tip over $20/person. Everyone in the party enjoyed the meal; a very nice experience.

You can't beat it. They're the only game at the top but they still have high standards (pun intended!). The food is amazing, atmosphere can't be beat. Choose outside for an up-close and personal experience with the hummingbirds. The German potato salad is incredible. Very friendly, great place. Check the hours! Closed Tues-Wed

Short staff, but wonderful atmosphere. Hummingbirds all over the place! If you go to Mt. Lemmon, stop by. Take it and enjoy a small meal. Staff was very patient and worked hard for everyone present. A bit pricey, but they are the only diner on top of a mountain. Not pet friendly. They just can't accommodate pets. Folks are pretty close to each other.

After few hours drive up to Lemons Mtg nice to stumble on this restaurant. The pies are world class. View is nice. Seating choices outside or inside.

My wife and I came up today January 3 2024 and had lunch. Amber was our waitress and she was amazing. The food was great and the atmosphere was perfect. We sat by the fire and just enjoyed the food. The guy that was there also works at the little fudge store and was so proud to let us know he makes the fudge. So stop and get some fudge at the lifts and some food at the Iron Door. Thank you all for a wonderful time!

Such a nice mountain restaurant with great service. We made the drive just go eat and it was a memorable experience. Food was excellent and tasty…Turkey sandwich with cranberry.
