Destiny is a caring and knowledgeable physical therapist. My complaint is IMH's billing department and front desk staff. I was in physical therapy for a surgery that I had in May 2023. My surgery and hospital bill were so large that I had reached my patient responsibility threshold/maximum amount for patient out of pocket before the end of the same month. Intermountain Health South Jordan physical therapy charged me a co-pay for my physical therapy visits when I didn't have anymore out-of-pocket expenses due. I was informed by someone in their billing department that they owed me a credit and they, a year later, refuse to issue a refund for my overpayment. Also, some of the visits I had were not with my regular physical therapist because she had taken time off. South Jordan's front office staff never told me that the physical therapists who were substituting were out-of-network providers. This requires a patient to cover the visits as they are not covered by insurance. In the end I no longer have an over payment credit that should be payable to me. Instead, due to their non-disclosure I owe several hundred dollars for just three physical therapy visits with out of network therapists that intermountain health South Jordan front office staff either chose to not tell me about or didn't know because this particular facility pretty much was using temporary help in their front office who couldn't look up patient portals, see a patient's insurance information and they just grab money and whatever happens with your money happens. According to my insurance company, I was informed to reach out to the Utah State medical board to file a complaint as a proficient admin person could have seen and would have known I didn't have any out-of-pocket expenses...unless the P/T was out-of-network and they could have told me. There are plenty of good physical therapy facilities with proficient front desk staff and up-front billing policies. Unfortunately, Intermountain Health South Jordan isn't one of them.

Worst place ever, Jon was very rude and disrespectful. He was one of the worst therapist I ever had. Doesn’t listen to you when you voice your concerns, talks over you and doesn’t let you finish talking. He was awful, and wasted a lot of my time, he sent me home at the beginning of the appointment about 3 times over a span of three appointments for no reason. He was aggressive and even when told an area is tender or in pain he would aggressive push on it and make it worse. He never listened to anything I said nor did he let me explain what’s going on, all he did was talk talk talk. He was loud and also discussed private information out loud while other patients were present. He violated hipaa privacy act and I felt very uncomfortable in his care. Don’t recommend this pt clinic nor provider he was terrible. Go elsewhere if you plan on needing a physical therapist.

The MA checking me in and out was the nicest person I've ever met! she really made me feel so welcomed. She knew I had hurt my back so she walked me my papers over and also told me to call her name when i was done filling them out so i dint have to stand up. Also there is a really cute guy MA that works there and he is so cute! Great attending he was really funny and made me feel comfortable

I thought they were wonderful. Fast, efficient, clean, friendly, and caring. Painless blood draw and tetanus shot. Another patient came in seeking treatment, but they couldn’t see her because they only treat work related injuries. They helped her get to another clinic that could see her and gave her an ice pack until she could get there. Just thoughtful caring people.

Destiny was extremely knowledgeable and supportive. The exercises and skill set she provided made a big difference in my life. I will always be grateful.

When we arrived for our scheduled appointment there was nobody to be found. We called while we were in the building to see if someone would answer the phone, we called 4 times still nobody came up front. After some wandering around my wife found all of the employees in the physical therapy exercise room. Not only did we have to wait for an already scheduled appointment but when we finally got someone to check her in they kept calling her by the wrong name. The nurse practitioner Sean Collins was very condescending to my wife, as if she didn't know what she was feeling. All together it was a horrible experience. All employers should consider sending your associates elsewhere, as this was without a doubt the most negative doctors experience I've ever seen. Completely unprofessional.

Kyle has zero empathy & lacks encouragement. I dread every appointment.

Stay away from this location!! I was more injured after receiving care there then when I first walked through the door. It was the Physical Therapy department that re-injured my injury increasing my recovery time substantially and putting me out a work for six weeks after their care.
