I had a total and a partial knee surgery less than nine months apart. ( I just turned 70) Lindy has been my physical therapist post op for both. She is amazing - she has given me a lot of positive reinforcement combined with challenging workouts and great therapy - stretching, massage, and resistance training. The assistants, Bryce, Fernanda, and Reese have guided me through the exercises with great care and attention. They made my therapy session easier and fun, while still being challenging. I highly recommend Innovative Physical Therapy in Mission Valley. A++đ

I was never bored or left alone @ Innovative PT. Owned & managed by women, rec by my osteopath, I got very personal care. Moises is firm yet gentle. He is very present & watches you carefully at each visit plus gave notes to assistants to further assist you. There are also homework assignments posted online. It's well placed in MV with spacious windows & trees outside main rooms that make it inviting. Really attentive & professional staff. Am truly grateful for my classes there!

Please know that I am a retired rehabilitation professional with decades of experience treating, teaching and reviewing programs. As a patient treated at this facility, I was impressed by the skills and professionalism of all staff members who worked with me after undergoing a rotator cuff repair. Treating me most often was PTA Moises Veneces who displayed unique talent, ability and compassion. Kudos to Moises and the whole team!

Short version: -PT staff is nice and seems competent BUT -they donât see you as a whole, but only as a âbody partâ and theyâll treat you with tunnel vision -$$$ is their priority, your recovery is secondary Long version: I went in because my knee (which I had injured badly a few years ago) started acting up. I was seeing them twice a week, I thought Iâd also inquire about the fact that my right shoulder wasnât as flexible as it used to be. Thatâs where the issues started: -I was told, literally: âyour insurance wonât cover two body partsâ. It is a flat-out lie. We went back and forth, and the conclusion was âwe want you to pay for two separate visits, instead of treating you as neededâ -the more we worked on my shoulder, the more my shoulder became flared up. From having little mobility, I begun having pain. So now, both my knee and shoulder are hurting at the same time. And from overcompensating I started having pain in multiple other places, and they kept insisting that they could only help me with one thing at a time. Thatâs when I started looking elsewhere. One day I went in for a âknee appointmentâ, but as soon as I walked in I spoke for about 5 minutes about how my knee pain was actually 1/10 of my shoulder pain, that I couldnât drive or work without shoulder pain. They proceed to tell me (again) âthat sucks, but we can only work on one body partâ. At that point I didnât have an alternative so I said okay, assuming that since I just complained about my shoulder for 5 minutes, weâd do the shoulder. Instead, they start working on my knee - I thought they were going to give me a little help to relieve my knee, and then focus on my shoulder, and I thought they just needed to âsayâ that they couldnât do both, but they were helping me out. But when I realized that we were only going to treat the knee, I spoke up and asked âwait, what about my shoulder?â like - are you not able to prioritize? When I had made that appointment it was supposed to be for my leg, but when I come in and I tell you how much more painful my shoulder is, you still go ahead and treat my knee and get bothered when Iâm confused? That was it for me! Another episode worth mentioning is that I brought up that my various pains might be connected, potentially from years of overcompensating after the injury. I was told that âtheyâre too far away from each otherâ lol. Then I asked for a general evaluation to verify whether I was working correctly âmechanicallyâ which should be a standard thing when you have pain without a recent injury, and I got told that that would be extra money đ I almost forgot, they also told me my insurance would only cover 30 visits, which is also not true and itâs so unrealistic - coming from someone who injured herself seriously a few years back. My guess is they were going to try and charge me the full price hoping I wouldnât check my Explanation of Benefits. Anyways, I ended up moving my health and business to Catalyst, 3 minutes away. And yep, very different approach - where Iâm treated as a whole mechanism, not as a body part, and the results are showing.

This is the place! First off, my Physical Therapist (PT) this go-round (this is the second time I have had PT at Innovative Physical Therapy (IPT)), Melissa, did a fantastic job getting me back on the go. Thank you Melissa! Second, the team there at IPT is spectacular, and works very well together to help motivate you back to health. Than you all! As much as I love you guys, I hope I do not need to see you anytime soon! Thank you all team IPT! Best regards, Dave Newkirk

Phenomenal team, only place I swear by! Lindy is the best Physical Therapist I've ever worked with. I found her because I was looking for a Doctor of Physical Therapy certified in Manual Manipulation to get adjustments. I have hypermobile hips and was experiencing lower back pain and hip pain due to muscle imbalances. She guided me each week through the perfect rehab approach that was gradual - never aggravated any pain, and I physically feel way stronger than ever. Before my glutes were inactive and now I feel them firing and shaking when I do my exercises. If you're in pain and looking for help, definitely book an appointment!!
