Was repeatedly fat shamed, told my disability was because I’m overweight (I know it’s not because it was caused by another disability and I was told it would most likely happen over time by other doctors), was diagnosed with high blood pressure and given medication when I was actually just having an anxiety attack (they didn’t talk to me at all about what was going on with my body and didn’t ask any questions), and one doctor (Molly) never even bothered to look at me. She was looking at the computer the entire time and usually had a student there to awkwardly walk through a few questions. Also, if you are not fully out to everyone who has access to your phone DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR PHONE NUMBER! I have gotten multiple texts and calls regarding trans support groups and events, and this could be very dangerous to people who aren’t in a fully safe situation. If you need HRT, check out Planned Parenthood instead.

Would give minus star if possible. WORST medical clinic ever! Suppose to be VA approved. They are billing me for appointment where NO medical care was received. All provided did was ask my medical history which I already provided. This place is a bad joke. They have NO idea of what they are doing.

Very nice and helpful! They were easy to work with and polite :) very glad to have my appointment scheduled! 2 months time until the appointment (per request) loved the front desk.

I’ve been a patient at Identity for going on 2 years. While at times I feel like I’ve fallen through the cracks, I’m always reminded I haven’t. I receive excellent care by their providers, a lot of the negative reviews seems like staffing issues.. not competency problems. They address all my care needs under one roof, and I ALWAYS feel respected and understood. Thank you Identity!

My husband has been being seen here for about 2 years now and the provider Crystal Beal is amazing but scheduling and working with any other staff has been tough. On multiple occasions he hasn't received links to appointments, then when they went to a different application for their patient portal and it was down so he couldn't get in for his appointments. Its hard to get through to anyone over the phone and after trying to jump through these hoops to just get to my appointment they told him that he had to wait a few months until he could schedule again even though it wasn't really his fault he couldn't make it. Its very frustrating to watch the lack of structure and I would suggest looking at other options to save time.

I wish i didn't need to leave this review, but Im worried someone will have the same experience as me & i don't wish that level of stress on anyone. Let me start by saying the staff is nice and i've been going here since they started out as full spectrum, but the front desk has a major competence issue and will without a doubt mess something up when it comes to making your appointments... Rescheduling it without telling you, giving you the wrong covid test even after asking & clarifying several times what kind you need, etc... The mistake with the covid test made me almost have to reschedule my top surgery that i paid out of pocket & flew out of state for, while i am already here & have paid several thousands to be here. I needed a PCR, they gave me an antigen and wrote in pen underneath it "this is a PCR test". If i didn't have my vaccination card i would have needed to fly back from seattle to alaska. I asked them at least 3 different times "is it a pcr test?" "this is a pcr test right?" "is this a pcr test? just want to make sure" "please make sure it's a PCR test" etc, and even asked them to make sure the paper said it was PCR (the actual printed out text on the paper didn't, the handwriting underneath it claimed it was, which is a blatant lie). It would have cost me thousands and i 100% would have taken legal action if i had to reschedule, but the surgeon i'm seeing made an exception despite Identity's incompetence. I love the staff, i've known some of them for over 5 years, but as soon as I'm able to I'm switching providers. I will absolutely take the transphobia/homophobia/ableism/etc that comes with trying out & looking for different dr's over the incompetence of the front desk & person who tested me for covid (I believe their name was Natasha). I'm even sending an email directly to the staff to talk to them about this situation because it is absolutely unacceptable and extremely disappointing. They're very very nice people but they just don't listen to their patients (unless you're seeing a dr directly, they're usually very good at meeting your needs but the issue is with the covid testers & front desk), and it's really disappointing. They also have an issue with waiting really long for appointments to start (even waiting 15+ minutes for a zoom to start), getting called back, etc. I told them I was leaving on the 7th and that i needed to schedule a gender follow up before then, and they told me they would get back to me before i leave..... they instead called me on the 7th, while i was in the airport and about to board my plane. Hopefully they're able to improve their clinic, as this is the only LGBTQ+ clinic in Alaska, and it's very disappointing that they very nearly made me have to wait longer for a life saving gender affirming surgery.

The doctors at IHC listen to me like no other drs I’ve seen before. I feel heard and respected. I actually feel free to bring up my concerns and questions, or to ask for clarification. I don’t feel rushed or judged about anything. They seem consistently and genuinely passionate about providing excellent care (wow). My gender care and meds management experiences have been amazing, and have made a profound difference in my quality of life and my outlook on my future. I’m super grateful. Other drs I’ve seen couldn’t answer my gender care or ADHD questions well (or at all), but anyone at this place… A+ I’m so relieved I decided to switch to IHC!

Front desk staff is friendly. Providers are nice. But takes forever. Been waiting since Aug for my letter of support for surgery and still do not have it.
