Dr. Murphy Jr. is fantastic! Major repairs on my right shoulder 4 years ago and was ecstatic with the results. Needed repair on the left shoulder and yet another painless recovery. I hope to never see Dr. Murphy Jr. again however if something else orthopedic breaks down I will most definitely see Dr. Murphy Jr. again. .
Dr. Murphy was very personable and professional in my appointment. He gave me pros/cons to treatment options. I appreciated his willingness to try less invasive treatments before the possibility of surgery. I will recommend him to family members who have similar issues.
Once I made contact with the front desk for scheduling, everything went well. I had an appointment within 24 hrs of contact and the appointment with Dr. Murphy went very well. I updated my online profile and so my check-in was less than 5 seconds. I was called back in 10-15 mins, x-rays taken & reviewed. Then I met with Dr. Murphy. He informed me of the prognosis and my options and gave me a recommended timeline for a decision. Very professional, excellent healthcare!
Check in was done efficiently and by very friendly receptionist. Waiting time was what you would expect at any doctor’s office if not less. The doctor and his staff were wonderful. Spent time explaining my problem, giving me options to work through the pain, and answering my questions. Together, we discussed and decided what was best for me at this time. I Left there completely satisfied with the care, attention and recommendation given.
The front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful. Dr. Murphy took the time to talk to me, explain my injury and discuss a course of treatment. He answered all my questions and was very thorough.
The physician was very pleasant and easy to talk to. He made sure I understood my diagnosis, gave me a reasonable solution and he helped me understand the plan for the best solution! The staff is very plesant and helpful and they make you feel welcome, I appreciate them going the extra mile to make me feel better than when I arrived.
Long wait times. I have taken my sister to this clinic several times for follow up appointments. Each time the wait time is over 1.5 hours and sometimes 2 hours. Put us in a room then wait …… why make appointments and then make people wait so long? Once is perhaps acceptable, but EVERY time? We have other appointments scheduled elsewhere and this is JUST PLAIN UNACCEPTABLE!
Dr. Murphy was very thorough. Understood my concern of injury to a shoulder that previously had surgery. Talked through my options and if/when to come back for a cortisone shot or MRI. Also, because this is what he does all day everyday, he assured me he didn’t have concerns of anything that would require surgery. He also educated me about how my MRI would be abnormal due to previous surgery. I went to see him out of an abundance of caution having had surgery on my shoulder previously and I appreciate that he took the time to listen and talk through solutions without an aggressive response being the answer. He came in and addressed me like I had been his patient forever. Highly recommend him and I have been to many other orthopaedic surgeons in Montgomery and he is hands down the best I have seen.
