HonorHealth Outpatient Therapy - Thompson Peak

I've been going to HonorHealth Outpatient Therapy Thompson Peak for 18 months now following an accident that left me partially paralyzed. I work with the Neuro OT & PT teams as well as the Ortho PT team. The therapists, techs, and front office teams are top notch.

I am a Physical Therapist working in a different clinical environment who leads an active lifestyle and is fairly knowledgeable concerning fitness training etc. I have experienced the outstanding services of Mandy Baltazar DPT, physical therapist, to assist with an orthopedic condition. Mandy, brings an entirely higher level of clinical knowledge, expertise, and experience that has assisted with my rehabilitation. I am making strides after every session. Thank you, Mandy!!!

To be fair, the service and advice I got when they were there was excellent. However, of the five appointments I made with them, THEY cancelled three. I have a busy schedule and it's problematic for me to keep having to shift things around last minute. 3 out of 5 appointments cancelled. I give up.

The front desk staff is excellent in their efficiency checking patients in and in scheduling future appointments. My therapist, Kendall Arnold, is an excellent listener who hears my concerns and addresses them with her wealth of knowledge and training. She has the heart of a teacher as she keeps me informed about the potential outcomes of the choices I make. She provides direction and encouragement in the various exercises which are part of my therapy. She is personable and professional.

The front desk staff is very good in their efficiency of checking patients in considering the constant inflow of patients arriving for therapy. PT therapists Mikayla and Taylor are excelent in their wealth of knowledge and training as was Tamyra (speech therapist). Everyone provided ongoing support and encouragement in the various exercises which were part of the therapy. Everyone was very personable and professional.

I had terrible vertigo from ear crystals and was referred for an eval and treatment. I was nauseous and could barely function. I needed to be treated!!! On my first call I was told my insurance didn’t cover PT. I called my carrier to verify as I knew that was not true. Her info was incorrect! We certainly had coverage for PT. On my second call I was told they did not make next day appointments as it would take them 3-5 days to verify coverage. I asked if I could pay myself based on the first call and was told they would not make a next day appointment. On my third call, I was told they simply did not accept our insurance. But I still could not make a next day appointment . In contrast , Banner on Pinnacle Peak near Scottsdale Rd made a next day appointment, had my insurance verified in less than 12 hours. And they accepted our insurance. This company only cares about payment, even with their incorrect assumptions regarding my insurance and even with my willingness to pay fee for service. This is completely unacceptable for healthcare! Go to Banner!!! They care about your health and well being! And have efficient staff!

I would give my therapist a 5 star review.. but the front desk office staff NEVER has a smile on their faces..I wish they would be friendly. Nice clean facility. I would recommend the therapists but get ready to not be greeted with. Friendly face .

The HonorHealth Outpatient Therapy Center at Thompson Peak is an excellent facility that provides the best possible standard of care in all areas observed ... Full five-star rating. Staff communication, ease of scheduling, insurances accepted, and online access are especially outstanding. Highly recommended.
