Holy Cross HealthPlex

The surgery itself was amazing. The people were wonderful. However BILLING IS A NIGHTMARE. I was overcharged, despite telling them that my deductible had been met. They insisted I pay anyway. I let all the bills hit my medical insurance (over a month) before calling for a refund. Of course, no number on the bill I paid, so I googled the center and started calling. I called no less than 6 different phone numbers, was routed to other phone numbers from EACH of those phone numbers, was bounced outside of Holy Cross to a third party (3 times) despite telling them I didn't want records, I wanted a REFUND. God Bless the nice lady Betty in the Lab department ( I just started pushing buttons) who tried to get me to billing, then to lovely Guadalupe who only transferred me after confirming a real person would answer, BUT NO still not the right department, then given another "supervisor" but that person didn't answer. My next step is to stop by the surgery center and demand a refund just like they demanded my up front payment. What a nightmare. There must be a government oversight committee we can report this robbery to.

My lady had a surgery here recently and was treated like royalty by everyone we came in contact with. These people go above and beyond with their own personal good hearts and kind attitudes towards all, and they should be commended for their wonderful personalities in a challenging environment. Special mention goes to Abe, Jayne, and Patti for their extra special gifts to fellow humans! The hospital is also well located, clean and safe, and is totally up to speed for the needs of the doctors and patients who come here.

This is one of the best outpatient labs I’ve been to. I had to get preop fasting blood work done. First I went to the outpatient center at the main hospital. There was no one at the desk for over 20 minutes and people were looking confused just sitting and Walking around. I got frustrated and just drove to the healthplex where I’d been before and knew someone would be there. I was assisted fast and a very kind Registration person named Maria listened to my concerns and got me into the lab. I’m telling you DON’T GO TO THE HOSPITAL for outpatient bloodwork. Come here instead. Especially when you’re in the hell loop of fasting lol. I really should have just went here in the first place!

This is a top notch, professional, wonderful facility. I had a previous surgery at Mirimar where the facility was totally unprofessional and inappropriate. The staff at Holy Cross Healthplex could not have been nicer. Everything was taken care of from warm blankets to a cracker and water ready for me when I woke up from anesthesia. The nurse was able to insert the IV without a problem and I have narrow rolling veins. Everyone was competent and professional compared to other places I have been. I highly recommend this facility.

Very good hospital. They treat patients like family members. This is a well maintained place with a parking space available for every patient. You can also valet your car if you prefer to do so. It is also important to remember that Holy Cross Orthopedic Institute is easy to notice on a normal traffic. There's a bus stop right across the street if you decide not to drive. I hope everyone will stay healthy and it's not going to be necessary to go to the hospital. Stay safe guys.

This is a very money hungry place. As far as the office staff , it's all about the $$$$. No conscious for people and their financial limitations.They want money up front, right away for outpatient surgery. Even had Cigna (my insurance company) call them the day before and reassure them that they would be paid. That wasn't good enough for them. There was NO reasoning with them. No negations. If you have a choice try going somewhere else Ask your Dr. if they also work out of another facility. Such as Imperial Point, etc. I've dealt with Imperial Point for other outpatient surgery's. No problem with them. Whatever you are able to do, they are willing to work with you. This place is very unprofessional and harbors a very nasty office outpatient staff. AVOID if at all possible. A very BAD experience.

Had a change in ophthalmologists which brought me to the rehabilitated building of what is now the Holy Cross Healthplex Medical Plaza. I remember having been in this building a number of years ago and everything about it was then, at best, drabby in appearance. So though the outside looks very much the same, the inside is clean, nice and rather up to date though as with most medical complexes retains a certain sterility of cheap unimaginative décor. One must keep in mind, however, that this only one building constituting what is the overall Holy Cross Healthplex. To my surprise it seems to now have acquired an adequate parking even considering that my visit took place during our "on season" months. What is really great about it isn't so much the "plex" itself, but the availability of the highly qualified medical staff it affords. There seems to be a medical doctor or specialist in just about every specialty of field of medicine one might need and, after poking my snoopy nose into a few of the various office waiting rooms, found them all to be of a seemingly new and up to date interiors. Though the building itself doesn't rate as much, I'm going Four Stars for the availability of services and a highly qualified staff it houses.
