Be careful with hidden fees. I came in to be seen. I am from out of town so my insurance was not excepted which I already knew I would have to pay cash. Which was fine. I was quoted back in the room a certain amount to see if I wanted certain tests ran or not. Off that amount I agreed to the tests. Once I got to the front desk to check out. They charged me a higher amount. Fine. I paid it. A week later I got another bill in the mail from them. I called to speak to a manger and she was not helpful at all. I could see if they were billing my insurance company and they didn’t pay what was estimated and I owed the rest. But that was not the case. I was a cash patient. There are set fees. There is no reason why I should be getting more bills in the mail after the fact. This place is a scam.

In order to be efficient, they did my check out without full attention. They put a dirty thermometer on my mouth without any cover. At the same time, they were training. My appointment lasted less than 10 min but I got charged for over 30 min.

The best and most helpful urgent care I’ve been to. My son went in and they were so accommodating and great with him. We got right in and didn’t have to wait long. The staff is so friendly and made my sons experience so great. They gave him a teddy bear while he waited . Doctor Chip was so wonderful and helpful. We will definitely be back when needing so see a doctor.

If you read nothing else of this review, suffice to say I would give 30 STARS if I could, and a GIANT KUDOS TO NURSE PRACTITIONER DEMETRIA. Read on if you'd like to know why I feel this way. I would call myself an aging athlete who's passionate about his sport. I was practicing my figure roller skating this morning and came out of a spin, got off balance flew into the air and crashed down hard on my left shoulder. With a competition coming up, I was freaked out that I had done something really bad and felt I could not wait until I could get to my orthopedic people on Monday. Another skater mentioned Hoag Urgent Care. I called and actually got a super nice lady at Hoag Hospital who outlined the different facilities that would be open today. I didn't even know there was one on Newport Coast Dr. and since that was on my way home she connected me with that one. The man that answered in one ring was super nice and when I said I'd like to come down and be examined and get an x-ray, the phenomenal service started on the phone. He was kind and accommodating and said come on down. Upon entering the facility I was struck immediately by by how modern, fresh and clean it was. It looked like a five-star hotel lobby. I had expected to have to wait in the car given the current situation, but I was immediately shown to a private room and told it had been freshly sanitized, and that I should wait here and be comfortable until they would get started. The assistant came in shortly thereafter, took all my vitals, got my insurance card and my copay and again told me to just wait a bit. Within 10 minutes Nurse Practitioner Demetria came in and immediately put me at ease and began a thorough examination of my shoulder, complete with checking pressure points and putting me through a full range of motions. I felt like she was extremely knowledgeable, not to mention empathetic to my situation and understanding. After her evaluation/examination, she said she did not think anything was broken but did concur with me then an x-ray would be a good idea to gain extra comfort. Within 5 minutes I was whisked away to the most modern, up-to-date x-ray room I have seen in a while. The tech there was efficient, knowledgeable and kind. Even though it was a bit painful, he took his time and helped me make sure I was in the right positions to maximize the images quality they were after. After a few minutes back in the room Demetria came in and told me not only had she looked at the images, but so had the Radiologist from Hoag Hospital.... Modern technology is amazing! They both concurred that there were no breaks and they had gotten really good images (even to be able to mention there was a little bit of age degeneration to my bones, no surprise!) She then suggested I have an injection of an anti-inflammatory to help with the pain and inflammation immediately until I would begin taking a prescription anti-inflammatory this evening. She also explained an icing regimen for the next 48 hours and reminded me that if I was not better in 72 hours that I should pursue getting an MRI in case there might have been a tear, but she doubted that based on all of her examinations, and I My explanation of the fall. Upon leaving, I asked if I could have a CD of the x-rays, just in case I would want to share them with my orthopedic docs. Again the staff was super accommodating and within less than 10 minutes I was out the door with CD in hand. This is an extra long review where I have outlined my experience from walk in to walk out in hopes that it will give a clear picture to others considering this facility. If I could give it 30 Stars I could. As a fairly active and athletic guy I've had my share of "emergencies and experiences" with urgent care facilities. Newport Coast Family Medicine And Urgent Care is in a league of their own! I cannot believe that I injured myself at 11:30, and was out of their doors by 1:30 with a plan of action and comfort that I had been well taken care of and things had been diagnosed properly. All of this on a Sunday afternoon in

By far worst experience ever. I have never personally experienced sexism in the medical industry, but unfortunately now I have. I had an appointment. I then waited for an hour and a half past then just to be told that I have to wait another hour. I decided to leave because I had to get home to let my dog out. On my way out, I saw a group of men who walked in after me receiving care. When I asked the nurse I was blatantly told “the doctor is with these young men first then onto the next people”. Absolutely absurd. Honestly do not come here this is not a professional setting and they do obviously treated me a young women differently.

Went in Monday for a covid test. Was informed insurance would cover it. Little did I know when reviewing my insurance coverage they charged me $478 for a 15 minute procedure! They didn't do an exam and charged me $278 for just checking my vitals i.e temperature, pulse. That's unacceptable. The test was $200. No wonder they could see me right away. This is insurance fraud and my carrier will be informed
