My father spent a week here recently. The rooms are small; he was squished up against a wall with a view of the hallway. He had a selfish roommate who blasted the TV 24 hours a day. The employees' only solution was to give him earplugs. No consideration was given to my father's needs. He had a wound that was not cared for that became infected. General care was lackadaisical. Avoid Hillcrest. I believe it contributed to a more rapid end to my father's life.

Hillcrest post acute is amazing! They take great care of our clients and meet all of their needs. They get them the rehab they need so they come home stronger than ever! Katie in admissions is quick respond and thorough. She asks the right questions to make sure all residents coming in have their needs met. She makes sure they are comfortable from day 1! I’ve been fortunate to work along side them on several occasions. Highly recommend!

Hillcrest Post Acute is one of the best options for your loved one in Sonoma County if they need inpatient rehab and skilled nursing The entire process of a stay at Hillcrest, from what I've seen, is easy and efficient from start to finish. Katie, in Admissions, is lovely and incredibly helpful. She's super knowledgeable and explains the process in a way that makes it easy to understand and follow. It's clear she cares about patient care. The facility is also beautiful, with an awesome view! If I have to do inpatient Physical Therapy... I'd rather do it THEIR gym :-) All in all, a beautiful clean facility with knowledgeable staff that provides great care. I can't recommend enough!

My wife was dying and it didn't take long, less than 2 weeks. The people were courteous and respectful. She was give comfort care.

Terrible. They don't answer the phone when you call. Communication is horrible. If you do get to talk to someone, they will tell you a different story each time. They don't do enough physical therapy. They don't deserve to be in business.

From the bottom of my heart, I urge anyone who is looking at Hillcrest Post Acute in Petaluma as a skilled nursing/rehabilitation/post-acute facility, please save yourself and especially your loved one from pain, trauma, and inexcusable lack of care. My mother-in-law went to Hillcrest for what was to be a minimum of 10 to a maximum of 20 days of PT. Mom was walking, talking, and jovial self when she was admitted to Hillcrest Post Acute. Little did we know that 1st day was the beginning of the end of her life. Hillcrest Post Acute did not let us in to visit mom (the front door to the lobby was always locked) nor did they allow Zoom access for the family to see mom on screen. Less than 20 days at Hillcrest, we were forced to get a private ambulance firm to transfer mom out of Hillcrest Post Acute to Petaluma Valley Hospital. I implore you to do your research before putting yourself, a loved one, a friend, an acquaintance...any human being...in any skilled nursing facility, post-acute facility, or live inpatient rehabilitation facility. Particularly, do not choose Hillcrest Post Acute in Petaluma, CA. They are now owned by "for-profit" groups and run by medical management companies who manipulate the system and cut every penny possible for their profit.

My mother in law was taken to Hillcrest after surgery, she has dementia so she's not very verbal. The staff is beyond competent, warm and nurturing. I am so thankful to the entire staff for making sure she was taken care of like she was a family member, it certainly took a lot of stress off my wife and father in law. Thank you Post Acute, you guys are true hero's!

My mother, who has dementia, spent several days there recently, waiting to be transferred to a memory care facility. She was treated with kindness and patience. The director, Robert, went above and beyond what anyone would expect, many times. He kept me well informed, as did those dealing with her on a daily basis. I cannot say enough positive things about Hillcrest.
