My mother went here from the hospital where she wore a bracelet that said, " FALL RISK " & 2 person assist. When she got to Hillcrest the bracelet was cut off. We were told family members could not help her to bathroom, chair or bed. After a few days because the staff was busy some family could help transport her. My mom had dementia & Alzheimer's, she moveed round alot while it bed. I feel because of this she should have been checked on more while she was in bed. On September the 15th 2024 My mother fell in her room. She was found bloody and bruised. One of the workers told me she heard something happen in my mom's room and went in right away and found her lying on the floor by her bed. As a family we wanted to know what happened. We wanted to know what the incident report said. We were told it was an unwitnessed fall and they refuse to tell us anything more. My father who was her POA went to Hillcrest to ask about the fall he too was told only that it was an unwitnessed fall and they offered no other information. I believe they have something to hide. Did she fall out of bed? Did she fall out of the wheelchair? Was she abused? We don't know anything and that is not right. My mom was taken to the hospital on Sept. 17th & died on Sept. 20th at the hospital I do not recommend anyone send their loved one to this place.

I go into the facility on a regular basis most of the staff (Aides and Nurses) are overwhelmingly supportive and try their hardest to provide the best possible care for their residents. But there’s one nurse (Lisa) that just pulls everyone down. when you walk in to the facility you can feel the tension it’s so thick! She always looks annoyed at the world, like everyone has done her wrong and she’s out for revenge. She answers your questions like you’re supposed to know the answer already (if that was the case then I wouldn’t be asking you, now would I.). You are a Nurse, and customer service is a big part of that. If you can’t handle the “heat” get out of the “Kitchen”. Nursing is an extremely difficult profession that can easily “Drain” you. My goal in posting this is not to be rude or anything I just want her to realize that her attitude, Body language, and her tone aren’t going unnoticed and it worries me that if she’s doing it to me and her coworkers… is she doing it to my loved one and other residents. I really hope not!

My mother in law is there for rehabilitation after surgery.. the food is very inadequate and she is a diabetic. I am not impressed. I hope they treat their own loved ones better..
