The facility is clean and doesn't have that "nursing home" odor. Staff is helpful and knowledgeable and compassionate. The rehab staff is amazing. Administrative are great problem solvers and very supportive. I've been on staff since 2011 (took a year to work at a rural clinic), and I enjoy and am proud to work here. I would recommend to anyone looking for rehabilitation or long term care.

Highlands is the best Facility ive heard of! All of the cnas are like a family and we take in our residents as our own family aswell! Theres so many choices to choose from here, the food, acitivitys and whatever you would like to do. Management is here to listen and take everything into consideration.

My sister is there and they take very good care of her. She is 89 and they go above and beyond to please her. We appreciate all they do. The best facility in the area for her needs in my opinion.

I’m at Highlands every day with my husband and observe goodness, kindness, attentiveness, competence from every staffer whether nurse, laundrywoman, meal servers, personal care, janitors, providers, administrators, cooks, etc. Meals are excellent and guests are served, too.The facility is not only newly remodeled and spotless, it is beautifully decorated. My husband and I are truly blessed.

No one, no matter how nice, goes over what they're supposed to. If you're on a special diet, good luck. Take kitchen seldom reds your meal ticket. No matter how much they're told. The cleaning staff doesn't lift anything. And they don't dust your stuff. Most of the nurses and CNA's are nice, but n9ne of them go

My 95 year old mother was there for about 6 weeks of rehab. Her therapy was successful but the care was inadequate. Quite often her personal hygiene was neglected. For example, I had to remind staff to put on her compression stockings before getting her out of bed. Her face was not washed very often, resulting in scaly patches. Oral care was the worst. Her dentures were not properly cleaned and she wore them caked with blue toothpaste. She rarely had her mouth and gums cleaned, and more than once she went to meals without them in mouth. I reported these incidents to nursing and/or administrators but the same things continued to happen.

Went to visit a friend for the first time. A male nurse, Cole, was so very nice. I watched as he attended the roommate of my friend. Cole was attentive of her needs and feelings. He is definitely an asset.

A great place. They take good care of my hubby. I feel comfortable about him being there without me. It's nice and clean open light and airy. Downside is It takes me 25 min. to get there. I'd like him closer to me so I don't have to hunt for a ride.
