Hickory Heights Health and Rehabilitation Center

Nice facility with mostly great friendly staff. Excellent care for a nursing home environment. Clean and fairly modern. Food is hit or miss though sometimes good. I have a dear friend who is a long term care resident and don’t know of any better options. We are both well pleased. WiFi could be much improved with a little investment but overall a great choice for rehabilitation, skilled nursing and wound care.

My family member laid in feces for over three hours, and when I found this out while trying to attempt to talk to the supervisor, he was irate and yelling at staff inappropriately firing them in front of other residents in a very unprofessional manner. We immediately got my family member out to say the least , I would not recommend for a dog for a dog let alone a human . it wasn’t possible for me to do Zero stars.

There are so many wonderful perks that come with the amazing individualized care the staff gives to each of the residents. Each and every resident has access to free services including haircuts, manicures, pedicures, hairstyles, beard shaping/trimming, waxing, shaving, hair color, ect. The residents also have access to transportation services, physical therapy services, social active recreational programs, and they allow pet visitations! How cool is that!?!? I have worked in long term care for 10+ years....and never have I felt this way about a long/short term care facility. I am blessed and thankful to be a part of the Hickory Heights family. If something were to happen to me or one of my loved ones, this is where we would choose to go(if there happen to be a spot available)!

I sm a patient at Hickory Heights as a part of their rehabilitation program. The people here are absolutely wonderful and are so attentive and helpful and friendly. They are always available to help you in any way. Including their entire staff from the friendly fun CNAs to nurses and administrators. Everyone here goes out of their way to make sure you feel comfortable and always taken care of. They have all kinds of activities every day from church services to bingo and cooking activities. Because of health issues I have been in several different medical facilities and I can say without a doubt that the staff here is the best I have ever encountered! If you are looking into a rehabilitation facility or a nursing home i would suggest you look into Hickory Heights! It’s definitely one of the best you could find in the central Arkansas and especially the West Little Rock area located on Chenal Heights Drive. Having meals and medications brought to your room exactly as needed is never a problem and they also allow special individual meals to be ordered as well. The caseworker Ciarra and Brittany the MDS coordinator are always available for any questions or needs you might have. And the free hair salon with Cody is a wonderful amenity as well as a huge jacuzzi tub with regularly scheduled baths. The physical therapy is top notch with several different therapists who are friendly and knowledgeable and lots of fun too. I can’t imagine being anywhere else!!!!

My father has been at Hickory Heights for three weeks now. I am so impressed with the care he is receiving. The two daytime nurses are the best I have seen. I have worked in a health care setting before and these nurses truly care about these patients. I have taken a couple of problems to the administrators and they were handled promptly. The aids seem to work well together as well. The long term residents seem content and happy. The only downside is that it is sad and depressing to have your loved one in a nursing home. This facility is nice for a nursing home but it is a nursing home just the same. I feel they do a good job caring for my dad. He is very hard to deal with and he is tolerating it pretty well.

If you are looking for professional and friendly staff this is the place for your love one. They were always responsive and showed great customer service. If I could give more stars I would. Words can not express the love and attention they provided my dad. He wasn’t there long and now is back home doing well. Thank you Management, Receptionist, Nurses and Caregivers for helping me try to help my dad.From all the way in California you made me feel like my dad was in good hands. Thank you🙏😊

The staff of hickory Heights are extremely attentive to the needs of their patients. They regularly check on patients and our attentive to their needs at that time. I can say that because I am a resident of this facility. I recommend it highly to family of individuals in need of long-term care or rehabilitative care. Hickory Heights is a 5 plus facility.

My grandmother was there and tho physical therapy helped and she said the food was good. The higher ups are rude. We went to visit her and her roommate was wearing her clothes and when confronted they said it wouldn’t happen again but they lost the clothes she had. They also lost her glasses! It has been three weeks and they have still yet to return any of the numerous phone calls or replace her glasses or even give the RX the eye dr gave them. My grandmother has gone three weeks with no glasses unable to see. Also they have yet to return her nurses calls. I would not recommend this place! I will now be contacting an Attorney, the state and BBB. This place is a joke because if they can’t even return a call image how they actually treat patients. Shame on them!
