Heritage Manor 頤康療養院

My grandma was transferred here around 2 weeks ago because when I was looking at the options between the choices the hospital gave us in a days notice, this one had the highest recent reviews. I regret sending her here now because this place is not great. They moved my grandma twice within the last 2 weeks and lost all her belongings, which include her upper and lower dentures, glasses, and the clothes and shoes we brought which were clearly labeled with her name for her plus the ones she came in from the hospital. When I found out about it, no one seemed to know where it went or took responsibility for losing it. They didn't give us any updates about if it was found, and we kept having to ask about it. None of the workers could locate it, and they keep saying to check with Michelle, the director of social services. When I met with Michelle, she said she didn't know anything about this, and also told me she doesn't keep anyone's stuff, but will try to look for it. I told her that it's pretty irresponsible of them to lose everything and that they needed to take responsibility to replace everything. I heard from one of the CNAs that another patient here had all his/ her belongings lost, too. One at least one occasion, my parents also noticed they dressed my grandma in someone else's clothes. I didn't find out about it until later. Most of the nurses and workers here are rude and irresponsible, nor do they want to own up to their own mistakes. Parking for this place is horrible too.

Over the past 2 years, my mom has been in and out of the hospital and she's been treated at other skilled nursing facilities in the area. In every case, they have failed her in one way or another - which is why she keeps going back to the hospital. However, the staff at Heritage Manor has been absolutely AMAZING! In 100 days, you all took such great care of my mom and the PT and OT she received brought her back to a high functioning state. I cannot thank you enough for the work that you guys do. I discharged my mom a few days ago and you've all added so many more years to her life. She had nothing but great things to say about her stay. Thank you!

The place is fine and staff is "nice enough" I guess. Don't expect more than that because you will be disappointed. To Heritage Manor: I appreciate the response to my above review. However, I don't see how you would know what to improve on without information from family members who currently have love ones living in your facility, such as myself. If you are serious about improvements, I am more than happy to offer suggestions.

It’s really good place for my mom after she fell and fracture. She has been here 2 days. I really want to say the physical therapist- Red, he is so responsible and caring my mom, set up a special way and train other nurses to change diaper for her. All the nurses are very helpful and caring.

Our grandmother stays at this facility and I can't express how caring the staff are to her. When you come in, you're greeted by a team that's focused on keeping all their residents as comfortable as possible. From what I've observed, the rooms are mostly shared by two residents with bathrooms shared by two rooms. I've seen activities listed throughout the day in the group rooms as well as individual activities for those who require more rigorous physical therapy. My grandmother required the latter per her physician's rehab orders. Garfield Medical is right across the street so emergency care is less than a few minutes away. I was conveniently able to wheel my grandma across the street to Heritage after she was discharged from Garfield Medical. Parking is limited so If you're visiting for a short time, your best bet is to find street parking on Garfield or Hellman.

I just want to share the wonderful experience my mom has with this facility. My mom was sent there 2 month ago in pretty bad condition, she couldn't stand or walk on her own. With the intensive care, including daily checking, on time medications and nice therapy practices, my mom is actually stand up and walk on her own again!! She is soooooo ready to go home. Really thanks to everyone from the facility.

The facility and the staffs are excellent. My mother in law has been a resident here for over 1 year now and could not ask for a better place for the elderly. I highly recommended this place if you are looking to place a relative in a long term or short term care facility.
