My family's experience with Hearts and Hands was perfectly fine. The facility was clean and had absolutely NO "rest home" smell. I do want to take a minute to acknowledge Camilla who works at the front desk. I called into the facility many times during my relative's stay there, and Camilla was always friendly, professional, and accurate when I needed to be transferred. She is very welcoming in person as well.

Thank you, Hearts & Hands, for the exceptional care you provided my father during his recent 6-week COVID recovery. Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to so many kind, caring and helpful staff ranging from the custodial and maintenance team, kitchen staff, front desk staff, nurses and aides, physical therapists, social services, and management team who demonstrated their sincere interest in his health welfare and recovery. If he/we had any requests or concerns they listened attentively and immediately addressed them. Additionally, we found the rehabilitation facility and rooms to be well maintained and clean, and the therapy room to be inviting, well equipped and spacious. In the past my father has spent some time at a top-rated skilled nursing facilities but this time the hospital was not able place him a bed there, which is how he ended up being placed at Hearts & Hands. If in the future he is in need for rehabilitation services at a skilled nursing facility, he will have no reservation in going back to Hearts & Hands. Upon his discharge from Hearts & Hands my father a retired science teacher, and not an easy grader, gave his rehabilitation care and stay at Hearts & Hands an A+!!!

I can't thank Hearts and Hands enough for taking care of my friend's aunt so well. She was admitted here about a year ago and I have only seen them improve. They have the best staff one can ask for. Not only do they help my friends h her med administration but also grooming as well. The activities staff also paints her nails. Also like many other facilities the food that they provide is not at all bland. It is in fact very nutritious and tasty. They take special consideration into the kind of diet a person needs. Whenever I have gone in with my friend for care conferences the management has been very courteous and considerate. This is one of the best care providing facilities in the area.

It is a very accessible and very professional place. My aunt was there before she died, and it was very pleasant for her. They always kept me up to date on the problems my aunt had. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. I never had any problem with the service to my family member. I recommend that you stop by to see the building and its great staff, in fact, I take a great memory of how important the reign was for my aunt's last days. Thank you Harts and hands

Our mother was recently admitted to your facility and the subsequent 3 weeks has been a stressful combination of her children dealing with her new situation & living conditions, while simultaneously needing to go through her 25 year, 2 bedroom apartment, saving, storing, and disposing of everything. Additional facility regulations (quarantine) prohibited us from decorating (much) her initial (temporary) room. These cascading whirlwinds together created an adverse effect on us all, and the emotional toll and feeling has been borderline overwhelming. Your staff have repeatedly gone out of their way to not only do their respective jobs, but in many cases go above and beyond the call of duty, including seeking alternative solutions outside conventional methods or practices, if needed. Not once has their ever been even an appearance of obligation or frustration. Rather, in a seemingly highly frustrating environment (people aging and not able to do some things they once could), your staff rises up to meet each and every challenge with conviction, effort, and in all reality “LOVE”. I could name over 20 persons I have interacted with during the past 2 weeks, but don’t wish anyone to be omitted. A famous quote (Maya Angelou) states “People don’t remember what you said, or what you did. People remember how you made them feel”. To EACH PERSON THAT WORKS AT HEART & HANDS, your cumulative and personal assistance and care have extremely helped Alice and her children the means to create her new home. And it is highly evident that this new home is full of love. Thank you Heart and Hands for your LOVE !!!! The word “appreciate” is often used in everyday conversation without knowledge of it’s actual meaning. Houses and real estate normally appreciate (gain value) over time, while motor vehicles and heavy machinery normally depreciate (lost value). Thus, to appreciate is to increase in value, however, when most people say the phrase, “I appreciate it”, they often don’t realize they mean, “thank you for increasing my value”……..Heart and Hands, our family “appreciates” you and thanks you for “increasing our mother’s value” in your care. Gratefully, Craig, Karen, and Eric Johnson

Thanks team Hearts n Hands for your great service. Your care and dedication towards patients is remarkable. Therapy goes above and beyond. I've consulted with a number of various physical therapy facilities, and this is by far the best. The nursing team were outstanding. The incharge nurses are all incredible. With every need, they was helpful and polite.

I visited the place in late 2021 while looking for a place to keep my mother. So I cannot speak to the actual care of the residents but it is very dated, the scent of cleaner is heavy in the air, in some cases there are four to a room, and is located in an industrial-ish area with really nowhere for residents to sit or walk. I thought it was kind of depressing. Not real homey.

Don't even think of putting your loved one here. My quadriplegic son spent the last 18 years of his life in this place. It was considered the best of the worst. In those 18 years, he suffered neglect. Physical therapy told him it wouldn't do them any good to work with him because he'd never walk again. They never moved him limbs. Total atrophy. He was bathed maybe once a year. His bed sores were clear to the bone. He had many friends there that would call me and tell me things that were going on. He'd call to say his pants were soiled and they weren't changing him. They never brushed his teeth. They missed scheduled Dr. appointments. Tried to put him in transportation vehicles where his wheelchair would not fit. Pinned his head between the roof of the vehicle and the wheelchair. All of his clothes came up missing and I would see them on other patients. There were care meetings but nothing was ever done to correct his care. They blamed him for his care. He won't eat they'd say. He won't do this, he won't do that, when they knew all they had to do was contact me. He was a quadreplegic, he couldn't stop them from doing what they were suppose to be doing. They didn't monitor his temperature or blood pressure and his weight. He was 158 pounds when he went in there. Within time he went down to 114 pounds. They never contacted me with that info. They use to have him covered with blankets in the wheelchair until he told me how much weight he'd lost. I have seen many patients come and go (die) unnecessarily. I lost my son yesterday afternoon 2/2/18 at 3pm due to being severely malnourished, bed sores were to the bone infected, a UTI infection, sepsis, and pneumonia. He had no protein in his system. Is this what we call care of our loved ones. They were turned in multiple times by the Drs. who treated him at the hospital for all the infections from inadequate care. Enough is enough. They don't deserve to take care of anybody. All you get here is a roof over your head.
