As someone with PTSD and severe trust issues with the medical field I am very grateful to have found Healing Hands for my Physical therapy needs after my surgery for a torn bicep tendon. I recovered very quickly and safely with Heathers unique personalized approach. I have felt comfortable since our first phone conversation. At Healing Hands Heather helps you heal from all aspects of the injury, the physical, mental, emotional, and energetic. When the stretches hit a bit of a stone wall she used an ultrasound machine with a crystal in it and i gained several degrees of motion immediately! As happy as i am with how quickly and how well i was able to rehab that did not end up being the most impactful part of my treatment. As I fore mentioned I suffered from severe trust issues with the entire medical field due to my fiancé’s Unsuccessful 4 yr battle with Cancer, my past experiences with neck and back issues, and a few truly traumatic deaths in the last ten yrs in my family in hospitals. Heather’s caring personal approach helped rebuild trust. Beyond that she has help me let go of a lot of the anger I had towards drs and the typical run around approach you get in a drs office. After a full recovery from surgery I continue to see Heather for energy work. She has been helping me clear so much of the negative energy ( pain /anger / resentment / stress / anxiety). Teaching me how to tap in and feel the energy, how to move it and replace it with good energy (love, joy, peace, acceptance ). My whole experience of injuring my arm has changed my life for ever and for the better. My overall well being is the best it’s been in many yrs. I have come so far. I will continue to work with Heather and apply what she has taught me moving forward. I have and will continue to highly recommend Healing hands to friends and family whether you’re in need of physical therapy or a deeper look into the energy surrounding the stresses and traumas in your life. I could go on and on but this is already the longest review probably ever written. Heather was really great to work with and she really helped me. She was thorough and creative in how she assessed my injury, and her treatments were very effective. I loved that she had me play my instrument at the appointment as this really helped us to figure out how my technique was effecting my injury. I recommend her to any musician suffering hand pain!

I met Heather at a Hand Surgeons Office years ago, I instantly knew she was an amazing person. Having a different issue with my hand years later I found Heather at Healing Hands. She helped me avoid surgery all together by using her different tools , massage , exercises, and a splint she made while it healed. My hand is completely back to normal, back to gardening again ! Since then Heather has helped and cured me of many aches and pains and has taught me along the way how our pains are coming from something emotionally and end up taking residence somewhere in our body. She has giving me the knowledge to prevent this from happening in the future. ( What a Gift !! ) I can't thank her enough for recently channeling a family member and helping all of us learn certain behaviors and how to deal with them . It has been night and day since she did that , where several Dr.'s and therapists could not explain what was happening in detail like she did. Heather, Healing Hands, is a friendly, open-minded, warm-hearted, and most importantly, PROFESSIONAL orthopedic, and she is a HEALER! She has a deep understanding of bones, nerves, ligaments, and energy structures. My wrist is healed at nearly 100% after the treatments from Heather. Her initial evaluation of my wrist was very thorough but accurate. I went to other therapists before, but nobody had invested this much time and effort to figure out the main reason for the pain on my wrist. After two visits, I already felt better, and over time, I could feel the pain relieved drastically! Also, Heather has a unique piece that I highly recommend to anyone. Heather’s belief --- negative energy that affects our emotions and spirits shows through body pains, and emptying the negative energy would heal the pain --- deeply touched my heart. She helped me work on personal issues that actually made my pain worse, and amazingly the pain released and showed rapid improvement. Working with Heather is a way to treat our body and our spirit. I truly thank her for her treatment as a clinician and a mind healer!

Heather is a phenomenal hand therapist and a great person. About a year ago (September of 2022) I ran my right hand through a table saw when I was building a cabinet at home. I badly lacerated 4 of my fingers, luckily missing my thumb, I severed nerves and had to have surgery to have nerve splicing in 3 of the 4 fingers, and I cut half of the lower joint (PIP joint) out of my pinkie, along with the nerve splicing which cadaver nerves were put in my fingers to reconnect the nerves as the saw just ripped them out, I had a pin in my pinkie for around 2 months after surgery. Through Heather's patience and guidance working with me I have full use of my ring, middle, and index fingers, and even my pinkie with only half the lower joint I can bend and touch my palm, I can very nearly make a full fist with a hand that I was afraid would never work right again. I have been able to return to my normal life with very nearly complete use of my right hand. There are really no words for the gratitude I feel to Heather for her help. use of my hands is a priceless thing to me. My pinkie especially was very slow to respond, but she never gave up, and just kept trying different things until something worked, and was positive and upbeat which was hugely helpful for my own state of mind. I could not have found a better Therapist and person to help me rehabilitate my hand, and I am grateful beyond words.

I am so grateful that I ended up meeting and working with Heather! I am an amateur musician that has started a new instrument as an adult. I was having resultant pain that a full course of treatment with a "regular" physical therapist did not resolve. Even though I am not a professional musician, Heather treats me with such respect, compassion, and encouragement. Her evaluation is so thorough -- from anatomy, mechanics, and physical exam to the emotions, beliefs, and attitudes that affect the energy and tension that I bring to my practice and playing. She even worked in collaboration with my instructor to gain more information and develop an interdisciplinary treatment plan. Her excellent knowledge as both a musician and therapist were both crucial to helping me with my specific problem, which "regular" therapists were not equipped to do. It still shocks me to realize that in just a few short sessions, Heather has me now playing and practicing without any pain and with better mechanics and technique; and even more-- the fear I was starting to bring to my practice is now gone, and I can enjoy playing and exploring and learning. Heather is wonderful -- you won't regret working with her!

I highly recommend Healing Hands to all musicians or non-musicians who are dealing with hand or arm pain. Heather is one of the most thorough and well educated therapists I've ever worked with. Because of her specific musical background, she is very knowledgable about how the strain of being a professional music (intense practicing for hours and many hours of rehearsal and performance) can put stress on your muscles and joints. She knows exactly how to attack these areas and change some unhealthy habits (posture, tension in hands, etc.) to release this pain and start on a track to painless playing. She also gives great exercises to help with stretching and get at the source of the issue. I highly recommend Heather! She is an incredible person and will help you tremendously.
