First let me start by saying that I don't normally leave reviews unless my experience has been negative. What started out to be a somewhat pleasant experience turned into a HUGE disappointment for me and my discharge because they weren't making enough money from my visits AND my need for services was minimized and not valued. I must say the best thing about the business is the Office Manager, Donita! Wonderful. I initially called Healing Hands as they were listed on my insurance website AND they happened to be Black owned which was GREAT. I explained what I was experiencing and what I needed. I also explained that I had already called my insurance company to verify that the services I needed were covered. They were covered and HH agreed to help. They referred me to a rheumatologist who in turn indeed confirmed what I needed and wrote a prescription for my therapy. At this point I'm super excited because I'll now be able to get relief without all of the nerve medication which did nothing. From the first visit, I sensed things would be a little problematic because they didn't have the right equipment to do my therapy. The workaround solution (a wedge that was uncomfortable) for that visit was tolerable but not ideal. As a gesture of good faith, I purchased the missing part and gifted it so that my treatments would go smoothly. They were going to be doing me a great service by keeping my back and neck in good shape so why not. Turns out, even though it's a standard part, it didn't fit because the equipment itself was so old. Got past that and things are going okay. I've been going a couple of months at this point with a standing appointment every two weeks. Then out of nowhere I was told I needed to start paying an extra $10 for something she was already doing and hadn't charged me for. I decided not to pay the extra $10, it seems a little deceitful at the time and I didn't receive that service on my last visit. That was fine. Then, a day or 2 later, I get a call telling me that I was being discharged basically because of the money. They weren't making enough money to continue to provide services for me! AND, the first thing I was told was, "I don't want you to think this is about the money, but..." If that wasn't offensive enough to find out that my insurance and co-pay wasn't valued, they also told me on SEVERAL occasions that the service in general was not valued by her other therapist and they didn't see value in doing it for me. Exact words, " My other therapist are not going to do this. They don't consider this physical therapy!!!" What??? And to that, I say SHAMEFUL. You mean to tell me that the benefits I receive from this service are NOT valued by your therapist. GREAT!! And if this is the attitude and culture you have at your business, I don't want to be there anyway. The first time I was told that, we were in the middle of my treatment and didn't say anything but I was annoyed then too. If money was the problem, why not come to me and say, "Hey, would you mind paying an additional $10-$20 on top of your co-pay because of this, this and this? I would have done that. But it wasn't handled that way, unfortunately. I have physical conditions that plague me daily. When my appointments were seamless, they were perfect and sustained me. AND most importantly, kept me off all of the nerve medication. During this discharge phone call with the owner, she ended with offering to send me referrals, which I have yet to receive. Super disappointed and it's unfortunate this didn't work out.

A few years ago, Healing Hands provided excellent physical therapy services to me, so I returned there recently to get help for my daughter who has been bothered with lower back pain and pain in her shins since she began running last year. Watching the owner Marva apply her knowledge and skill to identify the underlying issues that have caused persistent pain gave me a tremendous sense of relief. We now understand the problem and how to address it because Marva takes the time to talk to you and to explain to you the causes and treatments. I am grateful for the compassionate care offered in this clean facility.

Omg. I just called this place to inquire about therapy. The person who answered the phone was extremely rude and unprofessional. I had to check him on his tone of voice because that's not how you conduct business. He told me that I've called him before several times. I've never called this place so it seems to me as if he's profiling. Like I told him, you must not want business because that's not how you address potential clients/patients. Pure disrespectful!!

I always say that massage therapists are the best way to go for getting a massage and Byron is no exception. He is easy to talk to and very communicative. I really appreciated the questionnaire about my medical history prior to him coming over, as it made me feel like he was going to be taking into consideration what the best treatment plan for my pain would be. During our initial consult, Byron was extremely helpful in helping me understand what was up with my body. He definitely helped with my sciatica a ton. His techniques and knowledge are top notch. I really enjoyed the his company and his work. He was very flexible with his scheduling and even offered a lower rate because of my location! 10/10, would recommend this massage therapist to anyone.

I love my experience there because they listened to me, looked at data I provided, and plotted a strategy that is calming down the pinched nerves in my low back. If you've never sustained a low back injury it may be hard for you to comprehend the severity of the pain one endures! My PT Therapist is gentle and compassionate with how we are attempting recovery. She knows what's to be done. I look forward to my next visit. Relief is just a visit away! Thanks Healing Hands, I will be and recommended you to family and friends!

I've been going to Healing Hands for therapy from a stroke that I had. Marva and her staff are WONDERFUL! Everything is explained before each regiment is done so you can see how you're progressing. Always with love and care. Would recommend highly!

The name is spot-on! Noticing improvement after the first few visits. Friendly, professional and knowledgeable office staff. The office is very clean, well light and comfortable even throughout the Pandemic. They take time with their patients and offer recommendations on how to progress outside of the office. Glad I was referred to them for care.
