My mom spent the month of July at Haven Health after breaking her hip. The staff was so attentive and good to her. She felt comfortable and safe. She said everyone was kind to her. PT was amazing. The CNNs were amazing. Administration was amazing. They all made a very hard experience for mom into a good experience.

I have never written a review! If I could I would give this place a NEGATIVE ZERO!!! My brother was transported at 9pm into this facility and he was dropped off at his room which the transporter was directed to by someone who left IMMEDIATELY!!! The transport person then left him on a bed. He was left all alone without an INTAKE of any kind! There was NO ONE to be seen anywhere! My brother is a dialysis patient who is very fragile and was transferred from Chandler Regional Hospital with a fractured back, high blood pressure and occasions of seizures. When he called me on his cell, he said, "Something is very wrong here!" There's no one around; not even when we came in. So I told him to call out and yell, "Hello, Is someone out there who can help me?" In the meantime, I told him to hang up and I would call there. He called me back. After their phone rang for a long time, woman told me that a nurse was in his room. I asked my brother if someone/anyone was there? He said "NO, no one is here, but me!" I was on the phone with him!! Then a woman arrived at the room and he asked her to talk to me. She ADAMENTLY REFUSED to speak to me or take the phone and left. Again, he waited and the same exact thing happened... SHE refused to talk to me! I COULDN'T BELEIVE IT! I WAS FURIOUS! My brother who is NOT WELL was extremely upset. We live 30 minutes away and he had been through a lot. I told him to lie on the bed and sleep till I picked him up early the next morning. We're so lucky that he didn't have a stroke or a heart attack! Not to mention, that when he called me back a few minutes later, a patient approached him and was telling him about the horror stories about that facility and their problem of not giving their patients their meds!!!!!! In fact, a number of their reviews suggest the same!!!!! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!!!!! I'll be reaching out to health authorities! I will say that when I picked him up early the next morning, the place was bustling with employees.

A relative was a patient at this facility for nsg care and rehab following a hip replacement surgery. I have it 1st hand that the Administrator (caleb) asked staff to write positive reviews in return for gift card rewards, so unethical. The owner and administrator care more about some of the superficial aesthetics of the facility vs pt care needs. Recently changed their rehab contract and appear not to be able to provide proper amount of trained therapists

The whole place seems to be in a state of disrepair. Paint peeling off the wall, molding that doesn't match up. For the most part, the staff were all friendly and competent, but as with so many health care facilities, they are grossly under staffed, causing the staff that they do have to be terribly over worked. Even with the staffing challenges, there are a number of employees that are extremely kind and helpful to the residents. One of these is a young man by the name of Luis. This young man has always been so sweet to myself and my roommate. He answers our calls with a big smile on his face and helps us with a very positive attitude. Never making us feel badly for needing his help.

They are understaffed ,in every department . Pt is not what one would expect ,15 minutes of rehab once a day if your lucky. The guy I was there to see was soiled since the night before and it was already 500 the next day they didn't have anybody to change him ,I had to change him and his bedding and didn't have everything that should go on the bed laundry didn't get done . I was told. .

Edit: had to downgrade after my father nearly died from an infection. The good: the rooms are clean, they have daily activities for the residents. The bad: I'm not sure if they're understaffed, but everything takes forever. We've been waiting for over an hour to have my father moved back to his bed after physical therapy. He is not receiving his medication on schedule. His nurses never helped him with his CPAP. I hear residents screaming down the hall and no one checks in on them. I overheard a nurse saying she "didn't care" that a resident wasn't getting enough water. The facility is great if you're mobile and just need a bed and food. If you need care, look elsewhere. Before we checked in, we saw lots of great reviews. After we got here, I was surprised that there were so many good reviews... it turns out many are from employees.

First of all, I am alerting anyone and everyone who may be thinking of having their elderly loved ones admitted for care at Haven Health Scottsdale to PLEASE read the one and two star Google reviews before they decide to trust this skilled nursing facility. We have personally witnessed the neglect and deplorable conditions masked as “care” over the last two weeks provided to our 83 year old mother/grandmother who suffers from dementia. The number of negligent and despicable incidents of their standard of care are too numerous to list in this space but have been sent to the office of Arizona Department of Health Services as well as the Arizona Attorney General's office for review. This company lists on all of their correspondence and website as a 5 star company, although not noting which one(Google,Yelp) that verifies this claim. If you review the majority of 5 star ratings on Google reviews, they are generic ones that are obviously written by employees and associates that do not list examples of true care of patients, but instead are fluff pieces stating nothing but false praise and lies. Why do I suspect this? Caleb Morris is the Executive Director of Haven Health Scottsdale. Attached is his fake 5 star review purported to be on an unassociated client and the equally disgusting and fake “Response from the owner”. This should be enough for anyone to reconsider trusting the care of their loved ones to this company. If not, do not say you were not warned and I can only hope for the safety of your loved one. My 80yr old Mom came here post op. It appears very run down lots of water staining marks on the walls and floorboards all over. The staff were nice and helpful. My guess is they are way under staffed and feels under funded. Interior Facilities is in need of a basic remodel, I hope it gets better there for the staff and patients. It felt very depressing inside. I truely hope the owner reads this and it lights a fire in their belly to make this facility one of the best in AZ. Best Wishes to you.
