Well, I slipped on standing water in my garage and when I fell I broke my left wrist on Sunday of Memorial Day weekend 2023! Before I knew it, I was in ER for X-rays! Friends referred me to Dr. Hand in Sarasota and surgery meant a titanium plate to hold my bones in place. Dr. hand referred me to Scott at Hand Works for a month of PT. First, Scott was able to make a custom removable cast (this was amazing for easy on/off for showers etc…) and then we scheduled appointments. I didn’t know what to expect, but Scott made the entire experience very relaxed and actually fun. He helps keep your spirits up! We used different hand devices and his expertise helped me get full range of motion. I love that he has a location in North Port, Florida which was the closest for me. My appointments were about 30 minutes each. He has a busy schedule and is very timely, yet doesn’t rush through the process. I felt well cared for by Scott. Looking for a caring expert that will help you work through PT? I highly recommend Hand Works!

I went to Handworks Venice office for therapy on my hand after having complications with a recent trigger finger surgery. Dan the Therapist was a very knowledgeable caregiver and really helped me out. Hes a nice guy too. A+++

After 2 other outpatient PTs I FINALLY got connected to Hand Works! I adore the entire staff of Venice Hand Works (haven't been to other locations)!!! Everyone is friendly, knowledgeable, and supportive ~ I can tell they genuinely want me to get better and resume my normal life activities. I see Sierra twice weekly and she is patient but also demands full engagement during sessions (and home workouts) which has accelerated my recovery tremendously. 11/10 would recommend to others and 11/10 I would ask to see them again if I need more PT!

I ve been going here for over a month now. Dan is an extraordinary guy! I have had other hand therapy done, but no other compares to how he does it. He is talented, devoted to his work and very easy to talk to. Glad I found this spot!

Thank you Hand Works Physical Therapy for helping me gain back my strength and mobility in my hand. PT was a pleasure with this team of professionals and their knowledge of the wrist and hand allowed me to better understand what I needed to do to improve. The back office was very friendly and helpful to ensure all bills were paid by my insurance. A great place from which to obtain physical therapy.

I was very pleased with the whole experience at Hand Works. Scheduling my initial visit was very easy and then working with Scott and then Nora who were both very kind and knowledgeable. Jasmine at the front desk was very sweet as well. Each time I came I felt very welcome. I was very glad that my sessions were very productive. And when it was felt that I had reached my potential and could carry on without any more visits I was asked if I agreed with discharge. I did, as I was given plenty of activities to continue with on my own. Nora even said I was welcome to come back if I felt I needed anything further. I will definitely be going back if I have surgery done on my other hand.

I was in such a dark place when I arrived here- and Scott and Sierra really were essential for me finding my way out! That in itself earns 5 stars. They really made a huge impact on me and my ability to deal with the pain I was in and also figure out a way really find the solutions I was after. I had a great time going to physical therapy and enjoyed their friendliness, appreciated their knowledge, and took note of their experience and service.
