Our family wishes we had found this place a lot sooner. They are very clean and friendly. They have been good to my mother. They are worth their weight in gold! Oldest daughter Pam Sypher

My mother was recently transfered to this facility. She called me within the hour to say she asked for a bedpan from the staff. No one returned tobher room, no one responded to her calls or her cries for assistance. I called to inform the person on duty that my mother required assistance while I was still on the phone with my mother, my mother informed me they turned off the lights and did not enter her room. I tried calling back to be transferred to her room and they refused. What kind of facility is this! I am 3000 thousand miles away and no one can assist on the phone with a telephone call transfer to a room?! I understand HIPPA but this is ridiculous.

Working with Social Service Director, Angela is always a pleasure. Information regarding residents are always accurate, and very detailed. The facility is always spotless, and the team is very approachable. Working with this community is a pleasure. I have referred several residents to go there for rehab as well, with good outcome. I look forward to a continued partnership.

Physical therapy and occupational therapy were wonderful. Went from fractured pelvis to walking with a walker in less than 3 weeks. Most nurses were great and caring but know your medications when you go. One part time nurse was nasty and wouldn’t give me one of my meds but after reporting her she was removed from my section. Rooms were comfortable and clean and meals were okay with choices of likes and dislikes. Happy that I got home so quickly. Enjoyed the company of my roommate and staying in touch. All in all decent place to heal. Bring clothes and any things you want except valuables. Snacks were nice bedtime treats needed with my meds. Also nice dining room with a Wednesday breakfast buffet.

My mom was recently discharged to Hamden Health Care after a 4 week hospital stay. Her health was steadily failing and the staff at Hamden Health Care treated her with respect and dignity, making sure her final days were as comfortable as possible. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the facility and the genuine concern shown to my mother by the staff. She passed today but my family will always be forever grateful for the compassion shown to her in her brief stay at this facility.

In the course of my work, I visit many skilled nursing facilities. Hamden Rehab stands out as a truly first-rate facility. While the building is clean and well-maintained, it's the Team that works there that sets this community apart. The caregivers are consistently respectful and sensitive to the needs of their patients and I see them being supportive of residents' family members also. The kitchen staff and facility maintenance team always greet me with a smile. If you have a family member in need of short term rehab, long term support, or memory care, you'll definitely want to consider Hamden Rehab.

My father has been here for almost 4 years, they treat him so well and are just so kind to him. I watch the staff and they honestly care about the residents and treat them with dignity and respect. The facility is extremely clean and well maintained. Stag staff always keeps me updated on his status and progress. The food seems to be really good by the way he eats. I am very satisfied with their care so far.
