If possible I would add a plus to the 5 stars as the Therapy Department of Greenwich Woods is that good. The therapists are skilled, empathetic, and of unfailing good humor. They are masters of motivation - they make you want to do the work and the work that they assign is, of course, carefully chosen. They are knowledgeable and they are worthy of one’s complete trust. They create a relaxed atmosphere in which one can laugh through the aches and pains of rehab. I am in their debt.

I can’t say enough about the positive experience my mom had during her three week stay at Greenwich Woods for rehabilitation. From our experience, I feel very comfortable in saying that Greenwich Woods is dedicated to their patients. A team of individuals from every department exceeded our expectations as they collaborated to meet all of my moms physical, mental, emotional and social needs. They graciously accommodated not only my mom's needs but also the needs of our family. My mom and our entire family felt extremely supported by a very compassionate, friendly and skilled staff who worked tirelessly at giving the best professional care. We are very grateful for the excellent physical therapy, social services, nursing and medical attention my mom received. Every staff member we encountered from all levels of employment took the time from their very busy and demanding duties to ensure my mom was comfortable, happy and in good spirits. From the overall atmosphere, impeccable grounds, and friendly staff it was like a stay with devoted friends.

I work in several skilled nursing homes, and this one is by far one of my favorites to recommend. They have a 5-Star CMS rating, which is the highest you can achieve by Medicare standards. The facility is beautifully decorated and very clean, with wide hallways and welcoming spaces to visit with fellow residents and guests. The residents enjoy the courtyards and gardens and there are always many fun activities going on. It’s exactly what I would choose for a loved one.

I would like to share my experience regarding care at Greenwich Woods. My father had 2 sojourns there in the late spring of 2023 as well as 3 years earlier when he broke his ankle. On all 3 admissions the staff showed their caring and competence in caring for his health care needs and went out of their way to do special things, like heating up his soup that we would bring from home so it was "piping hot". The facility was exceptionally clean and welcoming. My dad was attended to in a timely manner by the nurses and the aides whenever he called for assistance. I was constantly kept in the loop byt he nurses and staff physicians. Additionally, Kelly, the head of PT and Ashley, the case manager were incredible resources to me when it came to my dad's aftercare. Finally, during the most critical time of his care, the staff showed a compassion to me and my family and support that meant the world to us. My dad was in a warm, comfortable surrounding and was cared for by an incredible team.

Terrible facility. My Aunt was here and she declined so quickly. She was never given physical therapy and they told us she was fit for hospice. Anna the RN supervisor said they would make her comfortable. They would pretend to take her and do physical therapy. My Aunt declined significantly after only 4 days in GW care. She was suffering and in excruciating pain it got so bad that we insisted they call 911 and rush her to the hospital. After her transfer she is getting better care and doing fine now. This is horrible. My aunt would call for a nurse and no one would come for an hour! The facility is understaffed and the people that do work there are not equipped to take care of sick and elderly people. This place should be shut down. If you send your loved one there they will be neglected and treated terribly. I plan on calling the state about this facility.

I can not say enough about the care that my mom is receiving. She is a full time resident now and no matter where she is located in the building, everyone that works with her and interacts with her is beyond caring, compassionate and amazing. Communication is great, the team works to make sure their residents are comfortable, and, the administration is wonderful! I have had other family members in different skilled nursing facilities, and by far, my expectations are exceeded at Greenwich Woods! I am very thankful for each of them!

My Mom was a resident on the Redwood Unit from the year 2001 until 2009. She always received the best of care by the entire staff. They were professional as well as compassionate, caring and respectful. Communication was excellent and I was updated continuously on her condition and plan of care. I was comfortable knowing she was in good hands. I would highly recommend Greenwich Woods for placement of a loved one. Thank you. Suzanne Ferrara

Our family has, recently, experienced two areas of Greenwich Woods: short term physical therapy and long term care. In both settings, the staff have been professional, caring and responsive to my Mom’s needs. All departments (social services, recreation, physical therapy, nursing, administration, reception and maintenance) came together to make a difficult life transition easier and more bearable for my Mom. I have been impressed, both individually and collectively, with everyone I have encountered at Greenwich Woods.
