Granville Center

Do not let your loved ones get placed here. My father was there and myself and brother worked hard to get him out. The care was almost nonexistent, my father was left in bed with urine soaked sheets. He was unable to feed himself and they would just leave trays by his bedside. I visited everyday until we got him home. I would need to bring him water and food. I cried for not just my father but other patients. He was there for 4 days and not once did a doctor see him. He passed away three days after getting him home with 24 hour around the clock care. He was literally just left laying in a bed so they could collect money. I spoke with staff and voiced my concerns. I was told the Dr is only in once a week and has up to 30 days to access a patient. My father knew he wasn’t going to make it in that place. Do better!!!!!

My brother has been taking here for his rehab to help him get stronger and walk and use his right arm , My sister and I visited him yesterday and the place stunk off urine throughout the whole place ,I understand it's a nursing home, but it doesn't need to smell like urine throughout the place. My brother told they haven't really done much rehab yet, they just seem to have some of the residents out in this room where they are watching TV, but they don't really interact with the patients to much. I feel the nurses are just there for the money they do seem to care ,they don't have enough help.

A post on here by Raymond Mailoux (he did not acknowledge that he is the Administrator of Granville Center). That is why he gave them a 5 star rating. People should go in and judge for yourselves before leaving a loved one there or anywhere. Ask for a tour. Make a list of questions. Ask residents what they like best etc. Do your homework.

My sister Deborah Lackie was there for rehabilitation. They not only did nothing with her care, but discharged her from physical therapy. I live 2 1/2 hrs away from where she was. The last straw was when she had 3000.00 dollars stolen out of her bank account. The day I went up there to discharge her, They were all right there social worker administrative and DNS. They told me they would contact me and get the 3000.00 figured out. Never once did I hear from them. She also had her new debit card arrive there two days later. They called me and said they were going to have it sent to my address registered. Never received that either. This place truly is a joke. They are by far not qualified to be even up and running. They also don't have the staffing to take proper care of their patients. I'm so disappointed with this place.

My experience so far been here less then 24hrs has been the worst extreme lack of uneducated staff haven't seen any hand washing or gloves being used. No name tags don't have tissues handed me open toilet paper roll been used half gone from bathroom the food not edible gave me a tray at 8pm cold dry burger stale hard bun frys half cooked cold,table spoon 🥄 of spinach. I have not received my medication 3 doses now blames uvm medical center for not telling them. This is just beginning of my review.i totally agree with many posts all they want is insurance money. Avoid this place scam

I have seen so many changes at this facility recently that are making a real difference. There have been a lot of angry reviews from people who either didn't want to be here in the first place or made quick judgements without full knowledge or information that would have mitigated concerns. I have many friends that work at the Granville Center that are happily providing compassionate, professional and competent care. Their efforts need to be recognized...

I am currently here and the staff is rude, mean, unethical and does not follow ANY rule. I was yelled at for pushing my call button and told to not press that button again. When I arrived by ambulance the ambulance drivers delivered me to a room and no one came at all for hours and only after I rang the call bell. They saw I was in bed so turned and walked away. They have withheld medication for my bilateral pulmonary embolism as well as simple Tylenol. DO NOT send anyone here it is pathetic and the "nurses" have zero sympathy, empathy or simple caring. I was told they are all traveling nurses so only in it for the money and are not invested at all in patients. ANY place is better than here. I could very well die here because I am not receiving my medication to keep me alive. They are also witholding my thyroid medication, my thyroid was removed and I rely on that medication. In addition you need to take care of your own bedding. I've been here for 3 days and no sign of anyone changing the sheets or making the bed. Also very much of a joke that they send a message asking you to send an email to the admin. It's just an automated message that is posted once a review is done. The room look NOTHING like they show online there is a clogged sink that was like that when I arrived in my room and is still like that after asking for it to be fixed several times. The windows are VERY old and cold air streams in a LOT. There us tons of rust here too. The beds are a slab of one thin cushion with antique controls. Just trying to give you as much information as possible.

I lost the phone number to my sister's room. I called the main line and the woman told me it is in violation of HIPPA. I called my doctor's office HIPPA is federal and it is not a violation. These people only care about filling beds for dollars. The woman was rude and surely does not know her laws.
