Never send your loved-ones to Grant Cuesta! May father was there with COVID. He was left alone in a wheelchair in the dark for many hours when he first arrived. He was denied food one night after he slept through the dinner time. He woke up hungry later that night and was told there was no food available until morning. Staff would not communicate with our family. His medical chart was poorly maintained; he allegedly lost 30 pounds in seven days. GC was clearly more interested in making money over caring for our father (they are a for-profit corporation). Shame on them. Shame on you if you leave your loved ones there.

I was nervous coming here post hospital stay because of the reviews, but after being here a couple days, I feel much better about my experience as the negative reviews have not been my experience at all. When I press the call light, someone appears within about 5 minutes, or sooner. After the first day my meds got dialed in and I've yet to be in a lot of pain. When I have been in pain and call on the nurse, she normally is here within a few minutes. When I've needed a diaper change because I can't stand or walk at this time, they are always right on it. I get a daily sponge bath until I can stand and get myself into a wheelchair and.thwn the shower. The physical therapy and occupational therapy will begin after the weekend but they have visited me daily and given exercises to do on my bed and have encouraged me to sit with feet on the floor when they are present. The food here is okay. I get fed at 7am, noon and 5pm.amd stuffed by the end of the day. There's a TV bedside and a big beautiful patio where I saw a doggy outside yesterday visiting someone. For in room visits, they allowed only one person at a time which is limiting but as my room is not private, so I understand the courtesy that needs to be extended to my roommate. I came here as they are equipped to give IV antibiotics and a wound vac which I have attached to my leg after a staph infection. So far this place exceeds my expectations and if that changes, I will update my review but after being here three days, I give them five stars!!!

My mom had rehab at Grant Cuesta since it was recommended by the hospital. She stayed about 3 weeks and therapy did a really great job on her. The case manager that had her Gwen was very thorough and helpful with our questions during her stay. CNAs and the staff are very welcoming even though we see they are very busy with patients. We are very happy with our stay here, thank you team for taking good care of my mom.

I highly recommend this place if you or your loved ones need a skilled nursing facility. I have been at Mountain View location about a month. There are 4 stations and I am at station 4. I can only speak for my station. There are many things happening day and night. It needs improvement on different area since there is no perfect place. On the other hand, employees work very hard and try their best. Among those employees I want to especially recognize following persons; Thanh Tran RN, Thu Pham RN, Oralia Pizarl CNA, and Carmen Zamora CNA, Ricardo Soto CNA, and Isabel Pino housekeeper. I want to add more comments today because I realize that therapists worked very hard and they are one of the BEST!!! Employees are very dedicated, proactive, and goes beyond than their job expectations since they are under Michael Lee's excellent leadership. Mr. Lee has great communication skills. He knows when to apologize and when to say thank you. I am greatly appreciate of everybody's work. This is why I gave 5 Stars. Thank you so much everyone!!

My sister and I moved our mother to Grant Cuesta. We were at first hesitant to move her from her home, but it turns out that Grant Cuesta was the best move we could have made. She is participating in the activities and is eating well. She has become more alert and is much more social than before. She gets great care by her CNAs, Carmen, Tiffany and Oralia. They kept us informed on any change in her condition, even if they are small changes, kudos to her case manager, Gwen. Their admissions manager, Daniela, has been a great help through every step of the process, from moving our mom in, to her ongoing care, and we've been so grateful to have Daniela. I would like to specifically mention Linea, IP Nurse. As Grant Cuesta was very proactive in addressing the Coronavirus threat and monitoring their employees to make sure everyone was healthy, this in turn has kept their residents healthy and given us peace of mind. The facilities seems nice and from frontdesk staff, shout out to Lynette to nursing staffs who were very friendly. Her health has gotten better and she has even gained weight, which she needed. If you are looking for a nice assisted living facility for a friend or family I would highly recommend you check out Grant Cuesta!!! ❤️

Great OT and good to bad PT. First days there no RN, no NP, no doctor. Do not follow up on medical concerns. Never saw an RN more than 15 minutes per day or 30 minutes for LVN. Medicines mixed up and not consistent. No supervision of patients at night. CNA best thing there. Food sub par and mostly unbeatable. Find another place

At first I was very apprehensive to have my 80 year old mom rehab here following heart surgery who is extremely hard of hearing when I saw the low stars and poor comments. Especially coming from a huge bright room at Stanford for past 4 weeks, her room is small, hot, a bit dark and floors a super marked up. But they quickly accommodated her request for a fan and brought her a chair. The TV does not work well but fortunately she is able to get out of her room for activities, rehab, and visits. She has a nice roommate which speaks the same language so this is a super bonus for her. One of my favorite things by far is the outside courtyard with flowers, grapevines, plants and figurines. It’s breezy and very pleasant for visits and spending time outside in shady areas- good for mood boosting and vitamin D. She also enjoys the bingo for social interaction and fun. The nursing staff has been accommodating and attentive - at times it takes a while for them to respond to call buttons because they are so busy. The staff have provided kindness with care especially with morning dressing and with showering. They have been responsive to my calls and inquiries about her needs and have provided assistance with transportation to her outside appointments. Sure the facility is older and can definitely use a deep cleaning of floors, it could use some paint, and sprucing up of some areas. My mom has been in very posh rehabilitation facilities in the past that have not offered as much personal attentiveness and care as this place has- and having outdoor spaces is so great. The food is adequate and plentiful -a bit salty for her taste- and they go out of their way to bring treats like ice cream or special requests when she asks - more fresh fruit would be nice. Mom loves the physical therapy which she says is excellent! She loves the large room where the perform activities to build stamina, strength, flexibility, and coordination- she likes the “volleyball” She appreciates being able to take walks with staff as her goal is to return home ASAP and this helps her get there sooner. I was super impressed that every visitor is able to take a 15 minute COVID test prior to entering to visit— great for safety!! I hope more people with similar positive experiences take the time to give GC a good review.

My Uncle had to do rehab after surgery, I wasn’t aware there were facilities for rehab and you stay in the facility. The building is a bit dated. But The strength of this place are the people working. The CNAs are attentive and very helpful. Which is important cause they’re the ones that do most of the care. Specially Carmen, wonderful person. My uncle needed wound care too and the nursing staff did a great job as well. So if Joty, Daniela(admissions) or any of the staff reads this. Thank you! People really make the difference.
