My experience was not a good one, im a traveling nurse, who the facility waited until returned home from my assignment and was not fully paid for the hours I worked my last week of employment there. I would suggest to any travelor going there for assignment to pass. I had hours taken from me to give another nurse a double shift. After pulling a tooth from a elephant Im suppose to be paid for it. I was only paid 33 hours for my last week they do not appreciate those who go the distance to go there to work. Noonr has discussed with me the money owed. It is difficult to dispute what they have, once you return home

I wouldn’t recommend any traveler or cna to work there !!!!! The place is disgusting the people are rude . They do not appreciate the help. I had issues with two nurses the issues never were discussed after I asked to talk with everyone in management it was just brushed off like no one cared. I worked so hard for the residents there because they don’t deserve that type of treatment. I had to end my contract early I had only a week left. One of the nurses who had issues with me got in my face cursed at me the other one scratched my name off the schedule and lied on me. Nothing never happened. PLEASE DONT work here you would lose your license over a bunch of careless people who don’t take care of the residents here.

The one star is for Nurse Nancy and a couple of the aides and the PT, who seemed to actually care. The rest is horrible. If you have to have a loved one stay in a nursing home, take them to Redding or Santa Rosa - not Eureka/Humboldt. Out of the 3 places that are available, this one seemed the nicest. Our mom had to stay here for 3 1/2 weeks. We live out of the area so we hired helpers to come in and advocate for her, which helped. Many times she was found in her wheelchair with her pants wet and even the wheelchair wet!! They lost many of her clothes and even the day we brought her home for a day, she was wearing somebody else's sweat pants because they couldn't find any of the EIGHT pairs that we had left for her. The manager put us off about her release. We understood that the holiday's were here, but when we begged to expedite the paperwork she warned us about calling the doctor and told us we'd just have to wait until he did it. Well, the doctor had given us his cell phone number and we called and gently asked to expedite the paperwork. He had it done that day - we shouldn't have waited to call him! Our mom related that the food was horrible. She is the nicest woman in the world and has hardly ever spoken a bad word about others and she told us that she "hates this place". She couldn't wait to get out. Don't bring your loved one here.

The staff at Granada Rehabilitation are nurturing and help the seniors engage in meaningful tasks that make them feel relevant and needed. When I visited, there was a senior with dementia. I tried to speak with her and could not communicate with her at all. One of the young aides told me all about this 90 year old woman's entire life. She relayed that an integral part of her training at the facility was to interview the family and encourage them to bring pictures of all of them and even a picture of this resident when she was younger. This way they know exactly what the essence of the person is and can treat her with respect and dignity. Granada goes the extra mile.

My mother in law lived here for awhile. We had nothing but problems. We tried to move her but had difficulty finding g a new facility. She needed to be close to dialysis. She recently passed away and the staff were beyond rude to my husband. I will be filing a formal complaint.

If I could give - zero stars I would! Staff is rude! The phone lines they have for residents don't work! When asked for the manager or Administrator full name I was only given her first name because staff "didn't know" I will be filing a grievance tomorrow! I am afraid to have my grandparent there!

My mother is at Granada Rehab and the place is so bad. I can"t believe they can even stay open. Just yesterday they forgot my mother at her Doctors appointment and she was also over a hour late. They just dropped her off by herself in a wheel chair and a diaper on with no aid or anybody . Then they forgot about her, the doctors office was closed and she was still waiting to be picked up. I could go on for days about the lack of care and the improper care she is getting at the Granada Rehab Center.

would not subject anyone to here, the staffing is horrible, sometimes only one for a side, one for the whole building-unacceptable, and only a few nurses care. One of the best nurses left, kudos to her.
