Terrible, unrealistic business policies and practices that I personally find exploitative of disabled children’s families. You don’t get to make your appointments but are locked into a set schedule weekly. Even if you’re attending weekly or more frequently - so 52+ times a year - you’re only allowed to have one cancellation every six months or you get charged a $100 fee each time. You can avoid this fee by immediately rescheduling a makeup session but because of their very limited availability I could not do so multiple times as a working parent. I also was mischarged/accidentally charged a cancellation fee that that they took off after I asked them - I appreciated that but should not have to be monitoring for their errors. Most ridiculously, I have never been late there but received a $41 charge that they could not explain but also would not remove. They also charge a $14 credit card fee - they are not selling ice cream cones they are moving major money - who wouldn’t be paying by credit card? Overall, I feel my son made zero progress over months, hated going there, displayed his worst behavior there, and did not bond with his therapist, who I’m sure was well-intentioned and wanted to help him but took an overall harsh and oppositional approach with him that is counterproductive. There was constant corrections and very little praise. I did see other therapists who seemed to interact more warmly with their clients. The policies are absolutely ludicrous. I would avoid Good Beginnings if I could do it all again and wish I never spent my son’s time or my money here.

Our 2-year-old daughter with a genetic syndrome has been treated by an OT and PT at Good Beginnings since she was six months old, and we could not be more impressed by the team! Not only are they extremely skilled and knowledgeable in their respective expertise, but they have the kindest hearts. Although they make her work hard, my daughter adores her therapists and always greats them with a smile. And we have seen her make gains in gross and fine motor skills that well exceed what is typical for kiddos with her condition. We feel so fortunate to have stumbled upon Good Beginnings, and can’t imagine going anywhere else for our daughter’s needs.

I brought my son to Good Beginnings years ago to help with his fine motor skills. The OT we worked with was patient, skilled, and positive. She gave us practice activities to work on at home. Within a few months he had markedly improved. Aside from my own personal experience, I also refer students from my tutoring practice to Good Beginnings. Just last week I had a mom tell me what a great experience she's having. Her son was recently diagnosed with dyslexia and dysgraphia (writing). We are helping with his reading and GB with his writing. He's coming along beautifully and this parent couldn't be happier. His handwriting is like night and day!

The therapists here are absolutely phenomenal! Jen and Melissa make me feel like they truly love my daughter, and as mom to a very special little girl, there is nothing I could ask for more. Their eyes light up when they see her, and she absolutely loves our time doing therapy at Good Beginnings - and so do I! It’s just such a warm and loving environment. Both the therapists and office staff are not only kind and caring, they also provide access to great resources outside of their own practice as needed, and are understanding to make accommodations to things like their absence policy when things come up (due to my daughters special medical needs in addition to delays, she has missed more frequently than I would like due to illness or hospital stays). Their most important priority is making sure that she is cared for and her needs are being met. Highly highly highly recommend Good Beginnings!

Caitlin is excellent physical therapist. She knows how to set realistic goals & worked well with my daughter. She was flexible to reschedule appointment, even with last minute-notice. I do recommend her to other parent who need PT cessions for their little one.

One of the worst place you can take your child to. Unethical billing practices, where you sometimes gets billed 8 months later, something next day. You have to pay for services no matter fire alarm goes off, or even if you didn't received service and they claim otherwise 9 months later. No makeup session allowed. You are expected to show up if therapist decides to work during federal holiday or else it counts towards 3 absences. They do not realize they are helping disabled children, and have no feeling. The do not allow parents to see and they do not provide any reports or anything.
