The PT itself was fine, but the billing policies are INSANE. My daughter was sick and, out of courtesy to the staff and other clients, I cancelled our appointment. BUT you can only cancel one appointment every 6 months or they charge you $100. Technically, you can reschedule to avoid the penalty, but they are always fully booked, so good luck with that. Oh, and you have to have the same day/time for your entire time with them, so it's not like your own schedule can vary at all. Hope you don't need to go out of town for the holidays! Oh, and did I mention they cancelled two of our appointments but, of course, that's totally fine and reasonable. Absolutely absurd.

Good Beginnings has made a huge difference for my oldest kiddo! Our child started PT due to toe walking, and GB helped us to realize she was struggling with gross and fine motor milestones for her age. Through consistent PT and OT she has made huge progress thanks to the dedicated team at Good Beginnings, and is now catching back up to her age. Their scheduling team has always worked with us to reschedule appointments due to known conflicts such as holidays and travel plans, and has been understanding on the rare occasion when illness precludes us from attending. Our therapists have also kindly made themselves available for occasional email inquiries outside of therapy time (though we try hard to respect their time outside of therapy, some feedback is better shared in writing versus in front of the child, and they’re very understanding of that). We’ve had such a good experience that when we realized our second child needed PT, we knew exactly where we would go. Thanks Good Beginnings for helping us raise our kiddos to achieve their fullest potential!

Our experience was overall fine. Not bad, but not great. The therapist and experience met our minimum expectations of seeing some progress with our child. Positives: everyone I interacted with at Good Beginnings (except the scheduling staff) were pleasant and nice. The facility is clean and has a variety of age appropriate toys/tools. There wasn’t a long wait to get an initial evaluation, which is why we started therapy here. Cons: Its clearly a very busy clinic, and I sometimes felt like our child was just a number (our therapist would sometimes mix him up with other children or forget what we had talked about/worked on previously or what our goals were). I often felt like I was spinning my wheels with my child’s therapist and not everything she suggested was helpful. Additionally, as others have said, the cancellation/billing policies are not clear and are not explained beforehand. If I need pediatric physical therapy in the future, I would find another clinic before coming back.

We had the BEST experience with Dr. Amy and Good Beginnings! Because of how long it took to get a referral from our pediatrician, we weren't left with much time before we moved, but Dr. Amy worked closely with us to learn as much as possible in the time we had AND went out of her way to track down someone who could continue our care in a new state. She was also great with my son, who was at first very shy and then practically bouncing off the walls; she helped him feel comfortable and helped him expend energy and helped him focus. He made a lot of progress during our time with GB, and I'm so grateful.

My son recently completed physical therapy at Good Beginnings. While he made significant progress, some aspects of the experience could be improved. Positive Aspects: • Clean and Well-Equipped Facilities: The clinic provided a comfortable and stimulating environment for our son's therapy sessions. • Measurable Improvement: The therapist consistently documented our son's progress and provided clear home exercises, leading to positive outcomes in his development. Areas for Improvement: • Cancellation Policy: The $100 cancellation fee, especially considering the unpredictable nature of children's health, seems unreasonable for pediatric care. A more flexible policy would be appreciated by families. We were also not informed about this policy beforehand. • Scheduling and Billing: Therapists frequently started sessions late, shortening the actual therapy time despite full billing. This disadvantages families without full insurance due to the 8-minute outpatient therapy billing rule. • Therapist Communication: While the therapist kept us informed about our son's progress, we observed some challenges in engaging our energetic 3-year-old during sessions. Additionally, a more positive and encouraging approach towards both his development and our role in supporting it would have been beneficial. Overall, while the therapy itself was effective, the scheduling and billing practices, along with the therapist's communication style, detracted from the overall experience. We recommend Good Beginnings consider revising these policies to create a more client-centered environment.

My son has been to three different physical therapy locations and Good Beginnings has been by far the best clinic!! Physical Therapist, Ms. Jessica Toth has been outstanding working with our toddler. She knows how to relate to his personality and has tailored his treatment plan to fit his ongoing needs. Jessica is an outstanding asset to Good Beginning. I would recommend Good Beginnings to any parent looking to receive the best outpatient rehabilitation for their child.

I cannot speak highly enough of Dr. Amy at the Bowel and Bladder Clinic. She has changed our life for the better. We were in a 20+ month long battle with my daughter withholding stool. We had been hospitalized and waited months for "specialists" who offered no advice and chalked it up to behavior. Ironically, nothing about her behavior outside of pooping was off. We walked into Dr. Amy's office and within an hour, we had more answers and a plan than we had in the 20 months prior. I literally cried on the way home because I couldn't believe I had been right, that this wasn't my daughter being manipulative and bad. We noticed measurable change within 2 visits. We went weekly and took all the advice we were given. We were diligent about the exercises and when we got pushback from our daughter on some of the things we had to do, Dr. Amy came to our rescue with tools and got us right back on track. I wish 10 stars was an option for this review because this practice has corrected our problems and my daughter is a totally different kid now that she isn't constantly constipated, in pain and on medicines that weren't addressing the cause of the problem. If you are struggling, the wait time to get in, the drive (if you have one, ours was 90 minutes each way) and any out-of-pocket costs (our insurance covered almost all of it) will be totally worth it, if you are willing to partner with the doctors and your child.

Dr. Amy has been absolutely amazing she was able to effectively explain everything that was going on with our child and connect with both us and our child quickly and easily. I cannot understate the amount that she positively impacted our family and our child's wellbeing. She and everything she has done for us has been amazing!
