I was discharged from this facility yesterday. The rehab staff is excellent! However, the long term care is horrible! I would never send a loved one to this facility for long term care. They are always understaffed. I have seen patients screaming for help and no one comes to assist them. Luckily, I had a cell phone and had to make 5 calls to the nursing station just to get my meds. This place is all about money and they will promise you the world to get you admitted but they never follow through!

I work at Gonzales Healthcare Center, It is by far one of the best facilities I have worked at. We have an amazing team from Geoffrey our wonderful administrator, Marcy in HR and Valeria our housekeeping manager….All departments work very hard to make this place a wonderful and safe place to stay and work and our residents are awesome 😊 we love each and everyone of them.

My dad is in rehab there for only 2 weeks, and I just got a phone call from my mom saying she doesn't like the place at all. Apparently, physical therapy - or even helping a patient get up and walk and go to the bathroom - doesn't happen on weekends. Dad has been wearing a diaper since his surgery, but today my mom had to go there to clean him up because apparently the staff couldn't be bothered. When all this is said and done, I intend to file a complaint with the Louisiana Board of Health. There's just no excuse. Shame on you, Gonzales Healthcare!!

I have worked at Gonzales Healthcare for 16 years. Absolutely love what I do. Our staff works hard to care for our residents. They are family to us.

The best group of nurses I have ever met, the sweetest ladies work here, for many years I was afraid to put my dear mom in a nursing home, but With much gratefulness, and thanks to god, she’s in good hands and care, Gonzales Health Care, really cares. My mom and I visited today, July 7, 2024 and as always are very pleased with the facility. We were welcome as we entered into the dining hall where my uncle was, to find him looking stunning as we hoped he would. Him and the other tenants were playing bingo-called out by a staff assistant. Everyone spoke and welcomed us back again.

My mom was in Gonzalez Healthcare and when I tell you NEGLECT is an understatement. She was found unresponsive and was sent to hospital in early hours ( like 3am), I was not notified until 10pm and was told my mom had been declining for a few days so they sent her to hospital and that the nurse forgot to call me. My mom was almost dead and currently in Hospice
