I’ve come here twice, one to pick up MRIs and another to get a leg cast put on. Both times were an absolute treat! Notably, the second visit was a last minute appointment to put on a new cast after I got mine wet, and I’m so happy they were able to accommodate me since I could have gotten an infection if I had to wait several days to come in. In specific the technician, Matt, did an incredible job. He is a super nice guy and did a fantastic job creating me a new cast. He even spent extra time making small changes upon hearing my feedback, just so my cast could fit perfect. This is something I didn’t even ask for, but I’m so glad he did it since it’s made walking around a lot easier! What else can you ask for. Beyond that, I loved chatting with Matt about all sorts of topics while he formed my cast as it made my visit really enjoyable. It’s often really boring and monotonous getting a cast put on, but this was actually a really fun visit! I highly suggest anyone needing orthopedic help to come to this office since they’ll treat you like family. Five stars! Oh and last thing, I also have worked with the Walnut Creek office and they’re fantastic too. So don’t worry if you have to that office since it’s closer to you, they’re both great places to get help. :) Cheers

I have had multiple surgeries with this company when they were Webster Orthopedic. Since becoming Golden State, the place has become very unprofessional. There are dozens of staff that have no idea what they are doing and always claim things need to, “go to another department” and the majority of employees claim to be “new” (and apparently not trained). A few years ago I was misdiagnosed as having a bone bruise, when I knew I had a calcaneus fracture. They had me walk on a broken heel (horizontally across the entire heel) for 12 weeks until I demanded they do another x-ray or CT. After 12 weeks of being in terrible pain, they finally agreed to take another x-ray and realize their mistake. I was immediately transferred to a Foot & Ankle Specialist and told that for the next 16 weeks I couldn’t even set my toe to the ground - zero weight bearing at all. It was an absolute nightmare that turned what should have been three months into almost 9 months of being unable to walk. I should have learned from this experience but hoped it was just a terrible doctor. I went back last week on 11/7 with a distal bicep tear. They did an x-ray and ordered an MRI. It has been a week and two days (7 business days) and I have heard absolutely nothing from them about getting an MRI scheduled. In the meantime, I was able to get in to see Dr. William Workman (Walnut Creek Orthopedics & Sports Medicine) this Tuesday 11/12 and within the past 96 hours saw the doctor, had an MRI, my post op is on Monday and my surgery date is 11/27. He feels the repair I need done should happen as soon as possible. Meanwhile, I haven’t been able to get any further than seeing the doctor at Golden State Orthopedics and it’s been 9 days. My advise would be that if you know you need a surgery, go someplace else. Some of the doctors themselves might be fine, but the business and staff are a hot mess - nobody has any idea what they are doing! (When I left after my appointment, they put the strapping on my sling on backwards. I knew this because I have previously had two shoulder surgeries and experience wearing slings post op.) I can’t understand how they are able to stay in business with their current practices and policies and will never return.

They deserve 0 STARS. The administrative staff is an absolute nightmare to deal with. Poor customer service, rude and disorganized. You never get call backs even if the answering service tells you they will call you within 24 hours. call on a Friday, they always close. . The lie. Doctors discharge patients, never notify patients. No concert about patients' condition, only your money. Let patients without pain medication. They have no concern/care for any patients, all the want is your money. Do not go there are a lot of better caring doctors/offices in the area.

Dr. Schwartz, his staff and Golden State Orthopedic are TOP NOTCH!! I had a crushed thumb and required surgery as part of my care. From the very 1st time I went to his office and was greeted by staff, it’s always been with a smile and thier first concern has always been my well being and care. It’s been almost 2 years since my injury and all of my follow up appts, whether with Dr. Shwartz or his P.A. Rachel has been the same, MY care and well being is thier goal, GOAL ACHIEVED!

During my visit, everyone in the office are very friendly. Dr. Porter is very helpful, thoroughly and very professional. Dr. Ian Stine in Tracy told me I need a knee replacement.
