Golden San Andreas Care Center

If you want to be lied to and have your property stolen, this is the place to go. After an illegal search in my purse a so-called nurse had a doctor who I never met take me off of 2 of my medications which put me in an emergency room. I had warned them it would happen but they didn’t care. While in the emergency room they went through my belongings and stole some of my property. Their physical therapist hurt my leg which they did absolutely nothing about and refused to put it in my chart. I’m still trying to get my leg fixed. I’ve been lied to by their business office person whose name I won’t mention. She also threw papers at me, literally. I could go on for hours but I don’t want to spend the time. The only positive thing I can say is that their administrator seems to be a good person except for promises he made and changed when I left there. I will not go near there ever again and if you’re smart you won’t either.

I'm very pleased with this place. Very friendly staff. They helped me above and beyond. They always made me feel comfortable and made sure I had what I needed.

I have made several visits here in the past month and the vibe is always upbeat, cheerful and airy. Staff bustling around and busy. Everyone I have met has been very nice. There is a huge range of medical needs in the resident population here and the staff seems numerous and organized. I feel very confident that my aunt is receiving the care she needs. She will be a long term resident here and she likes the facility.

Needs to be cleaned!!! Smells so bad. Don’t know how anyone could place Their loved one in this facility. Please clean the facility and make it smell clean.. so disheartening…. Hard for me to walk back in this place:( Hope someone pays attention to this review 🙏🏻

I want to express how happy I am that my mom stayed at such an amazing place! The staff was really attentive and caring! My mom really enjoyed her stay and she connected deeply with some of the staff so much that when it was time to go home she cried! I’m just so thankful for a place like Avalon that really puts patients first. She did say the food could have been better, but that’s any hospital like setting!

I would like to give a review of San Andreas Avalon care facilities. My mom has been there since March. She has been cared for, and well taken care of. She has made friends. The facility is old, but it’s clean. The staff is kind, and thorough. They have activities, a garden in the back, and a grassy area for visiting. It is nestled in the foothills and it’s quiet. I would like to see more volunteers there. If you have it in your heart to volunteer with the elderly I would encourage you to stop by and visit. I want to thank the staff for all their hard work. From the CNA‘s, to the administration, and the social workers, the activity directors they all do you a great job. I’m looking forward to my next visit.

The clinical, administrative and support staff at Golden San Andreas genuinely care for their residents. Through my interactions, visits and tours - I have seen first hand how much they care for their Community and find joy in caring for patient's that they have come to know as family. Team work, compassion and a drive to help others, shows me that the staff at Golden San Andreas are the heart of Calaveras & Amador County. I am very proud of them, as they strive to provide a Golden Standard of care for all in their charge.

My dad was here for 20 days and we are very pleased with the care he recieved. The staff are caring and professional. We couldn't ask for a better place to care for my father. Thank you to all who worked together to meet his needs. He made exceptional progress with his rehab while in your care and now continues to recover from his illness at home.
