First time visiting my brother. The staff was very nice and professional. The woman at the front ( apologize I didn't get her name) was very polite and helpful as was the young man that took us in the back. We had a nice visit. During the visit the nurse came in the room, she was also very polite and nice. Overall a good experience.

The staff at Golden Legacy are very imature and iresponsible. A very close friend of mines resides there but it seems like everytime that I call I get treated with the upmost disrespect, always with a bad attitude and very loud music in the background as if they were throwing a party.. several times I have been kept waiting for over an hour just to be told that there isn't a phone available or that he's asleep.. there's been times that they just hang up on me or when I finally do get through my friend Will tell me that he was never asleep. This staff loves to play games and punish their patients.. personal property that is given to patients by their families will normally come up missing, taken by staff. It's bad when a patient says that he would rather be back in prison than at the golden legacy Care center..

This is the worst place ever. Please don't send anyone in your family there. They don't take care of them. They left my mom in her dirty bedding for 3 hours. My mom had called the nurse for help. And they didn't show up until I called a few times. I had to ask for the RN supervisor to have them go clean my mom up. Rude and unkind. I really hope they shut this place. D o

If you love your family member, do not put them here. They make all kinds of promises about how well they will care for your family and that is just not true. I understand that because of Covid, there are certain activities that are not allowed for the patients safety and certain protocols that must be followed. We “knew someone” and we were told my father would be given VIP treatment. If that was VIP treatment, then the other patients must have been treated very badly. My father walked in and 4 months later and 40 pounds less, we buried him. He was ignored, not sure if he ever had his teeth brushed and no one made sure he ate. If my stepmother hadn’t called every day and insist that he was bathed a couple of times a week, who knows how often they would have gotten to him. I understand the nurses and LPNs are overworked and underpaid. But we count on them to care for our family member. Even more so during Covid. While I will admit that my father was not an easy patient at times, he certainly deserved better care and respect. From the beginning I did not want him there but he had limited options because of finances. I read other very bad reviews about this nursing home that validate my review. In addition, they are on Medi-Cal’s and Medicare’s “watch list” because of all of their violations. When I would Skype with my father (no outside visitors were allowed because of Covid) he would beg me to take him out of there. He said “I didn’t live my whole life to die in a place like this”. After a couple of months, I think he just gave up and stopped asking. It is beyond heartbreaking. He was admitted to the hospital with pneumonia the end of June 2020 and we are not sure how long he had it before he was so sick they had to act. We brought him home from the hospital because I did not want him to die alone. His hospice nurse said he had bedsores the likes of which he had never seen. He also said that kind of neglect was abuse and I agree totally. Two days after he came home, he died. But at least he was home.

My personal opinion.....I thank God for this place and all the loving hard working staff that work here. In my opinion they all deserve raises. They go out of their way to make sure your comfortable and well taken care of! I'm 53 years old and had never been in any kind of hospital or any kind if facility like this before. I had a battle with cancer and had surgery to have it removed. After staying 2 weeks in Huntington hospital in Pasaedena I was moved to this place. At first I was upset, scared, just didn't know what to expect, without giving the place a chance I called my family and told them I wanted to be moved immediately, I could find everything wrong with this place within minutes. Well I got some sleep and woke up to the most heat-warming, caring, attentive people I've ever met in my entire life... I judged a book by its cover...but once I opened that book, I felt the love on the very first page!!! Great Job and God Bless all the Staff at San Fernando post acute hospital!!!

Worst experience ever, my brother and law passed away there we didn't even receive a call we found out a month later they sent him to a mortuary in Sylmar luckily we found him there, Manny Pastor the administrator was so not helpful he really had nothing to say Martin the disease was the only sibling my husband had. I came over to pick up hes belongings they said they will gather them up is been almost two weeks and not a call to go pick them up. We are living a nightmare.

My mom caught an infection called C. Diff (Clostridium difficile), which caused her to bleed internally, which then got into her blood... which them caused her to die. If this facility had noticed blood in her stool, they might have been able to call my mom's useless doctor Chang to get permission to call an ambulance early enough. Keep your loved ones away from this place. Nurses are constantly socializing, the orderlies hate their job and will put off changing patient's undergarments for as long as they can and the place seems understaffed while they try to cram 3 patients to room. Update: My mother passed away... Why the hell do I want to meet with you or your auto responder. I have a suspicion that most the positive reviews are from people that know the owners or are related to employees.
