Golden Empire Nursing and Rehab Center

When my father-in-law had a stroke a couple months ago, he needed to be in rehab for over two weeks. This place was amazing! They were so sensitive to our requests, so polite, such great staff. My father-in-law was so happy that he baked everyone cookies and came back to show them how well he was walking once he recovered! We felt he was in very good hands, well cared for, food requests were honored, and just generally a great atmosphere with the staff, etc. It's always a hard time when someone has to go into a rehab center and everyone here made that as easy for us as possible. We are immensely grateful for the care that he received and for the warmth that we were all shown. I can highly recommend this place!

I collaborate often with Golden Empire while working with seniors and am impressed with the willingness of their staff to go above and beyond when assisting their patients. The care they demonstrate is wonderful and I'm pleased to refer people there when they need skilled nursing or other services they offer.

My Mom had a stroke 4 months ago and I needed her to be close to me during her rehab. After researching various nursing homes in Grass Valley, Golden Empire stood out as the one o wanted her to go to. The facility is clean and well-staffed. I am happy with my Mom’s care here.

This wasn't a good place for my mother. It was recommended to me that they had a really good wound nurse. She was great. The one star goes to her. I wouldn't feed the food to my dog. Most of the nursing staff were rude and unkind. The lack of compassion was unbelievable. They need to find nurses that are experienced in dementia. They had outdoor patio visits during the pandemic. When I went to visit her, she pulled down her mask, and her face had food stuck all over it. 😫

My mom is currently there in the memory care unit. The staff is amazing! Everyone is so kind & caring with the residents there, it feels like family. All kinds of fun activity's for the residents. Wouldnt want my momanywhere else

I am from the bay area and loyal to my job out here but for a couple of months i worked here and gave it a chance. This place has the best quality of care i have ever seen. They staff this place very well with good quality workers who give excellent 5 star care. I have never seen a nursing home well run and gave the residents 100 percent excellent 5 star care like this. If i where to need care in my elder years i would definitely want to be there. Great place.

I would never recommend Golden Empire. I don’t know how they got 5 stars on their front door. My mom always looked dirty there. Her wheelchair was so filthy. They put her in the shower with her hearing aids on and ruined one of them. The food most often looked discussing. The only good thing was Dr. Clayton and a few of the nurses. I’m so thankful that we got my mom out of there.

Hey patients, nurses are there to take care of you through your recovery, Not! Be your girlfriend...... so back off my night nurse..... love you., honey.... lol.,
