Golden Creek Healthcare and Rehabilitation

My husband and I are extremely grateful for the outstanding care provided at this facility. During my father-in-law's two-month stay prior to his passing, the staff consistently demonstrated compassion and excellence. Their touching tribute when the funeral home arrived, lining the hall, raising their hands, and playing a song, was a meaningful experience for my husband.

My mother has been a resident at Golden Creek since June 27. Upon her arrival, it was agreed that her CNA would assist her with restroom visits every two hours. However, this practice ceased once she was moved to a different room. After a few months, I requested that they document her shower and bathroom times, to which they agreed. Unfortunately, they only followed through with the shower documentation. Yesterday, my mother called me, upset because she had soiled her diaper. It was then I discovered that they were not keeping track of her restroom visits. Later that night, a nurse informed me that my mother had developed a rash. Today, I visited the facility and provided them with a spreadsheet to document bathroom times. I emphasized that I don't mind how they document it, as long as it is done. My priority is ensuring my mother receives proper care. Regrettably, I have come to the conclusion that I need to find another facility, as Golden Creek refuses to document this crucial aspect of her care. It seems they are more concerned about potential repercussions for neglecting my mother's needs than maintaining accurate records. It's unbelievable that they would rather lose a patient than ensure proper documentation and care.

Brie with Golden Creek is so amazing and very knowledgeable. The staff takes good care of their residents. You can count on your family members being well taken care of at Golden Creek!

My grandma has been at Golden Creek for 2 years now and we absolutely love it. They really take great care of her and all the other patients. We really enjoy coming to visit and do the activities that they put on for the patients and families.

(For reference, my mother is on the dementia wing.) I was able to observe my mother during physical therapy. This was a great experience. The PT/OT room is roomy and bright with all the windows. It has a nice vibe. The PTA was very friendly and welcoming and invited me to attend the session. My mother has been here 2 years and this was the first time I saw her do anything physical or stimulating. It comforts me to know that she is getting to partake in this even if it is only a few months at a time. When I first arrive to visit my mother, she is usually sitting in the dining room asleep with her head leaned over in an awkward position. I have asked that she not be allowed to sleep sitting up several times. During my visits (every 2-3 months) when I observe the dining room, the residents are all required to sit with nothing to do. No stimulation. No TV. No one interacting with them. Just sitting for hours. I wish the staff could take turns interacting with them - throw a beach ball, swing a hoola hoop, play an instrument, put on music and dance for them, just anything to stimulate their brains and make dying more enjoyable. I have noticed a CONSIDERABLE positive change in the cleanliness and atmosphere in the last 2-3 visits (maybe 6 months). My mother’s room is clean and neat. The entire facility smells better. The new(ish) social worker, Heather is AMAZING! Please keep her! She is on the ball! I’m seeing positive changes and it is comforting as I have 2 family members here and I live 4 hours away. Keep up the good work!

After visiting Golden Creek, I left feeling comfortable and good that I left my mother in great hands. The staff is awesome, attentive, professional, welcoming and friendly. They answered all my questions with a smile on their faces. The facility is clean and well secured. Feels like a home away from home. The patients are such a delight, and friendly as well. My mother has quite a bit of hang out buddies, with whom she do activities with. I recommend this place to anyone who looking for a place for their loved ones.

I arrived here with a knee infection. It occurred twice while I was here. This added months to my care. It was during that time I learned to accept help and advice and orders from some of my favorite Nurses Ms. Lindsey and Mrs.Chi! The staff is amazing in so many ways. The laundry ladies, the custodians, the cooks, the super CNA’s, Med.Aides, PTs, OTs, the support staff, and a incredible group of nurses, and the administration staff are very well versed in their jobs. Even being ill, I enjoyed these people and getting to know them! Personal service is their strength! Keep up the amazing work! Love and Prayers to all🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 A very special shout out to Ms. Heather!
