Gila River Health Care

I had excellent care from the ER to the inpatient. The nurses, doctors, and CNAs were all friendly, helpful, and professional. I went for an urgent matter in the ER, the treatment was very thorough. I, unfortunately, had to be checked in for treatment. My stay was comfortable and attentive. They take care of everything even when I was discharged, they schedule my aftercare appointments, the pharmacist came by and dropped off my medication to take home. Overall great care.

Company doesn't pay right, raises(you don't get it on time what so ever) just look for another job, vacation great if you can use it. Huge turn around rate for hiring, raises are cheap but they want perfection, Community's are great...love them like family.

Pediatrics has been moved to the back and in the back there’s a door. There’s no reason for any family who’s checking into pediatric to have to deal with registration in the front anymore. However no family is allowed to go through the back doors. To top that off, there’s nurses im the back ready to tell parents with many kids, and babies in there car seat, but they get turned away telling us to go through the ER or through the front yet the nurses or receptionist for the back in front of our faces use their IDs to open the doors for themselves. LAZY!!! Please do better, if we have to go through the front or ER so should they! There’s been so many problems with this hospital. The ER is a hot mess, it took forever for the nurses to get out of the patient parking and yet some of them still complain about having to walk so far as if they are parked across the street when they are just going to be sitting around anyways whereas the patient go and come. Do better Huhukam Memorial Hospital! This is ridiculous, your patients matter more. We are late to appointments because of the parking and having to go around, so if patients have to go around so do the workers!

All and all they are great. I never have issues with the staff or doctors they are always pleasant. I do have one complaint though. Everytime I drop off paper work at the new beginnings office it never gets to the doctor. I always have to do it again and make special arrangements with other personal to get the job done. It should be a simple task. The doctors name is on the envelope, the patience name is on the envelope along with their DOB. I am pretty sure I even wrote "to" on the envelope in front of the doctors name.

I received a bill in the mail for 1,890.00 dollars. I thought this was a mistake because I never received any medical attention from Gila Health Care. But when I called I discovered this astronomical bill was for a less than 1 minute interaction I had with an EMT during a minor accident I had two months prior. When I say less than 1 minute, I mean literally. I answered his question that I did not need or want any help, I signed a document that said they asked me if I wanted to go to the hospital and I said no, and he took my pulse on my finger. That is literally it. So, for anyone who has read this far, if you get in an accident on the reservation, and do not need any medical attention, do not answer any questions from an EMT, do not sign anything from them, do not even acknowledge their presence because if you do you will get this bill. I specifically asked the office woman if even answering a question will get this bill and she said yes. This is a literal scam. I have no idea how its legal or how they are getting away with it.

Won't let me in to be a part of my wife's ultrasound. That would have been my very first time seeing my daughter in action. I w been 1400 miles away for the past five months working. I know yall hate the white man but dam. I'm not the problem. It's a good thing my wife gets everything for free your health care sucks. Oh and the only covid that's rising is in the government. Stop listening to what they say. It's all fake news. Wake up you un-woke culture.
