Genesis Occupational Health, Bettendorf

I never review, but this whole experience has been a nightmare. I got screened for a new job in August. I don't remember much about my visit other than it felt like I was at a DMV. Understandable, they do a lot of pre-employment screenings and are probably undercompensated. They wanted to contact my physician to double check my medications were fine, which again was understandable. I called my doctor after I left to let them know paperwork would be coming through and to please complete it and send it back. Never heard anything, so I figured it was all good. I heard back from my employer in December saying my screening was still pending. I have been on the phone back and forth between Genesis and my doctor trying to make this work. Each time, my doctor's office has either not gotten the forms from Genesis, or Genesis can't find the forms my doctor sent. Finally in March I had to go back to my doctor 2 hours away since it's been now 8 months. My doctor sent the now updated forms. I thought things were good, but knowing there have been problems, I called back a week later to see how the processing was going. The person I talked with at Genesis said she couldn't find the papers my doctor sent in the stack that was on the fax machine. 8 months, 12 phone calls, 1 additional doctor's visit (and payment), and my employer still doesn't have a finalized health screening from them.

Honestly I don't normally write negative reviews for anything, however I paid $55 for a school physical. Normally I would think it was worth it, however if you count out the extensive time I waited, my physical was less than 10 minutes. No one answered my questions genuinely or gave me the time of day. I am sure physicals become repetitive/they may have been busy/shortstaffed, in this situation a smile or a second thought would have went a long way. I do not mind waiting at all but I expect your attention at the end.
