Talya is a life saver! After years of shoulder pain from lingering sports issues, I went into Functional Physical Therapy and met with Talya. She reworked my posture and the way my shoulder muscles work. After a couple sessions, my posture and shoulder motions were much improved, and I was pain free for the first time in years. I still come by regularly to work on injury prevention and other minor ailments. Highly recommend!

Functional Physical Therapy provides excellent service, thorough care, and is always very attentive to detail. I came to Functional Physical Therapy after a shoulder surgery and the treatment I received helped me return to all of my favorite activities faster than I ever hoped. I had ACL reconstruction surgery in March 2019. Since then, I have been working with my Physical Therapist - Talya Hyman (PT, DPT, ATC) at Functional Physical Therapy in Denver, CO. Talya has been FANTASTIC. Her expertise and demeanor have kept my spirits high during this grueling process. I travel a lot for work, and Talya has been sharing exercises for me to continue my recovery while I am on the road. I highly recommend FPT and specifically the services of Talya.

Talya Hyman was a miracle worker- my surgeon couldn’t figure out why my foot and leg hurt a year after my bunion surgery, but after just 10 minutes at FPT Talya had diagnosed the source. After a few weeks under her care and doing what she told me the pain was resolved. Now I’m back to training for races. So grateful to this practice!

I had neck and head pain for over a year. I'd been to my primary Dr, an osteopath(chiropractor style), other physical therapy, yoga class, acupuncture trying to solve it. I recently got an appointment with a physical therapist at Functional Physical Therapy and after 1 appointment she pretty much FIXED IT IN ONE SESSION. Obviously, it doesn't work this way with all injuries but it highlights that this group thinks at a much higher level than normal. There's nothing wrong with the foundation that most physical therapists have but this group is thinking about the whole package especially the physical function of the nerves themselves - how they route through your body with connective tissue and whether the nerves themselves are hung up because of injury which then triggers muscles to protect the nerves ( this is my rudimentary understanding of it - don't read too much into my explanation ). I'm not done after one session - I know there's more work to do, but the initial session was just so successful.

I have been coming to Functional PT for several years now due to a work related incident. All of the therapists here have treated and I cannot be happier. I truly believe they are the only reason I am still walking. I recommend them to anyone who has issues with their body.

The staff here is the best for caring for the patient - from the receptionist to the practitioners. They offer the full scope of treatments and all are completely professional and knowledgeable in their skills. I highly recommend this office and the staff of therapists. Excellent team.
