Functional Kids Pediatric Therapy

All of the team members here are fantastic. My child has worked with Nicole, Katherine, and Sarah. Home visits are amazing. They help you see the therapies as you would every day. Their facility is beautiful. Cannot say enough great things about this team!

Highly recommend for children with sensory processing issues/diagnosis of ADHD/autism/neurodivergence. They are wonderful at helping guide you through the application process. Attendance policy is understandably strict- regular visits will benefit your child. They always ask if there's anything I need to ask/say. They provide take home material to help your child! This is only 1 month in! Hope to update in the future.

We did not have a great experience. There was little communication throughout our services. I often had to reach out for updates or catch them at the daycare. I expressed concerns with a report uploaded to my child's medical record, and my message was ignored. I give 3 stars because my child did like the OT assistant, though towards the end of our service, it felt like the OT assistant had developed a biased opinion about my child.

We have been working with Functional Kids for our 3-year-old son for 3 months. He has participated in both individual occupational therapy as well as a social play group. He has done so well with therapy, made great progress towards his therapy goals, and enjoys his sessions! Our therapist, Sarah, has been very easy to work with, provides helpful feedback for home, and interacts positively with our son during each session. We appreciate how thorough and efficient Nicole was throughout the evaluation process and in getting therapy sessions started. Our favorite aspect of Functional Kids is how friendly everyone has been. Also, we love that the therapists will hold visits at our home, at the clinic, and at daycare. This makes scheduling easy and also allows kids to receive support in any setting which it is needed. We cannot say enough great things about Functional Kids!

We have had the best experience here! The therapists are absolutely amazing and always keep me included in my child’s treatment. My child looks forward to attending Functional Therapy and we always feel so comfortable. The work they’ve done with us has been extremely beneficial. I highly recommend looking into their services. They truly love what they do and are so supportive.

Sarah has been our therapist for a couple years and has worked with 2 of my children. She is very adept at assessing what skills the children could use improvement and finding the right tools to help them achieve the goals. She communicates both successes and areas of improvement and offers suggestions on things that may help at home. I am very happy with the professionalism and knowledge that Sarah has shown and have no doubt that other therapists with Functional Kids are of comparable quality.

We love this place! My son's therapist, Kimberly, is amazing and communicates with us about his improvements and also where he needs work. She will give us "homework" if she feels he needs some extra help during the week. They have a plethora of items for all the sensory needs of kids they work with so if my son comes in for his weekly session a little hyper, she utilizes a few items to help him re-center himself to be ready to work. The building is clean and calm and I feel their equipment is up-to-date and usable.

I was a Level II Fieldwork occupational therapy assistant student underneath the COTA at Functional Kids Pediatric Therapy, and WOW was she great. She genuinely cares for these kiddos, loves her job, and does everything she can to help out your family. The women at Functional Kids value a collaborative, evidence-based, holistic, client-centered, and FUN way to treat their patients. Such an amazing business that truly cares and wants the best for the community they serve. HIGHLY recommend!
