Emily is truly the best OT my son has had the pleasure to work with. Emily takes the time to really get to know her clients and what a child finds engaging and motivating. This is evident in her intentional and creative planning of an OT session, and her suggestions of resources and activities that would benefit our son beyond the OT session demonstrate a level of care and expertise in her field that is unmatched. Something that sets Emily apart from other occupational therapists is her ability to address issues with functional vision. After working with Emily on a rigorous vision program, our son’s vision has noticeably improved, leading to progress in so many other areas that we previously hadn’t anticipated. Most importantly, our son is his most proud and content self after working with Emily!

In her professional practice, she seeks out new research and techniques to make sure that she is constantly aware of developments in the field. She is always striving for excellence. Lastly, Emily is a great listener. Even with all of her training, experience, and knowledge, Emily does not assume that her opinion is the only one that matters. She welcomes feedback from patients and their families so that she can understand how to best serve them. She is happy to explain her rationale in layman’s terms. Emily’s collaboration with the people she serves makes her an even stronger practitioner.

She tailors activities specifically to each child’s needs to improve their daily functioning and overall well-being. Emily goes above and beyond in her free time to looking up new activities for different needs of her clients to teaching and helping support new OT therapists thrive all the while she I still taking courses to continuing her own education. Emily has such a welcoming environment from when you first walk in and she is so encouraging through her sessions with positive energy. Emily is knowledgeable, approachable with any questions you may have, and extremely good with the kids she works with! My son received services with her for nearly 3 years and Emily was right there for every success and every set back. Professional does not even begin to describe Emily. Her passion for helping her patients is unmatched. She really takes the time to get to know her patients and meet them where they are. Her interest in furthering her knowledge outside of work is inspiring. When she isn’t finding conferences to attend, she’s doing research.
