Friends Chiropractic

As a chiropractor myself, I searched for a chiropractor that not only has high competency and skills as a physician, but one that has high character, integrity, and ethics. That describes Dr. Yani! I highly recommend her and Friends Chiropractic to anyone searching for a solution to the healthcare needs.

Regarding the treatment: The technology is intriguing as it provides a visual representation of progress. However, after the adjustment, I did not feel any relief as I have experienced before with traditional spinal manipulation. I gave this technology an earnest attempt of 11 weeks of over 22 adjustments. Regarding the office: My exam during my first visit took over 4 hours to complete but did not include the analysis or results. My first several visits consisted of reading a pamphlet and then being quizzed, which resulted in visits that took well over an hour. I would have appreciated the head’s up on how much time would be required for these initial visits. Dr. Yani spends an enormous amount of time educating her patients but it felt more like it was an attempt to scare patients into committing to long-term care. And even though I was in total agreement with the treatment plan and did not utter one word of protest, I did not feel heard as she kept repeating and emphasizing the importance of committing to long term care, which I was prepared to do. She spent a lot of time providing numerous examples of previous patients who did not heed her warnings, which needlessly took up a lot of time. She also spent a lot of time repeating how the technology works and the parameters of the adjustments during almost every visit, which again, took up a lot of time. Perhaps I would have continued with treatment, if not for the lack of consideration of my time. I would be asked to come in at a certain time and then would ultimately wait for at least an hour to be seen. It took me a while to speak up about this, and after, the wait was reduced to only about 30 minutes. However, I did not feel that my time was being valued as I dropped everything to make it into the office by the time I was asked but then still had to wait for long periods of time. I was reminded numerous times that exceptions were made for me to come in during the times when Dr. was supposed to see other patients, but how could I be appreciative for this “exception” when I must still wait over 30 minutes on a regular basis? And when I spoke up about the long wait times, I did not feel heard by the receptionist as she kept interrupting me with explanations. In summary, my constructive feedback would be to block out time for each patient and commit to that timeframe so appointments do not back up. Ultimately, the technology and appointment model was not a good fit for me.

I wish there was an option to give zero stars. I had an accident many years ago and I had $5000.00 for therapy. I was receiving 3 treatments a week, they were good but always rushed. I went there for about 3 months and the moment we ran out of money, they stopped calling. I never got follow up or call back. The reason I am writing this years later is because I found an awesome chiropractor and my back is getting better. Don't waste your time with a doctor that only cares to charge insurance and does not care about an overall wellbeing of a patient.

Dr Yani is a very caring and compassionate doctor. She has been my chiropractor for over 30 years and I trust her completely. She is also my sister and I am blessed to have her in my life. If you are looking for a wonderful chiropractor who is passionate about helping others, look no further.

Loving my experience at friends chiropractic. Dr yani is incredibly thorough. I love the fact that she takes xrays and if there is a specific issue when I come in she addresses it in detail. I am a hairstylist for 15+ years now and am incredibly hard on my body. I sleep better and am in less pain these days. I'm so grateful I found Friends chiropractic and Dr Yani. It truly is a personal experience. I feel cared for and heard. Isabel is so good at understanding my schedule sometimes I need to get in and out between clients. I appreciate that so much. Several years ago I came to Friends Chiropractic for treatment after a car accident. I didn't really have experience with this stuff so wasn't sure if what they were doing was good or not. Last year I went to another facility and got some ACTUAL physical therapy from an ACTUAL physician and I can say without a doubt that "Dr. Yani" at Friends Chiro provides very poor treatment and is more interested in siphoning your cash than fixing your back. Under her care I got an inflated bill loaded with unnecessary electro-stim and roller massage procedures. Also, they constantly tried to sell me insoles and extra sessions that had nothing to do with my car accident treatment. And yes, the receptionist is absolutely the worst - as soon as treatment was over she began harassing me and calling me at work. I had an attorney setup and we were waiting for the settlement check from the insurance company, and she goes off trying to strong-arm me. In the end Dr Yani basically stole the settlement check. Complete and absolute scam

Dr. Yani has been my chiropractor for well over 30 years and has helped me through numerous incidents with severe back and neck pain, as well as migraines. Very effective and very caring. I would go here even if she wasn't my sister!
