I am a current patient transferred from hospital for nursing care and physical therapy. I can not wait to leave when I can. No attending nurse was trained in the equipment to which I was attached. Not all the attending nurses have read/understood doctor instructions. It has become my responsibility to explain my medical needs as found in my file. They don't even seem to be aware of the medical procedure I underwent. This place is absolutely filthy with even cleaning toilets properly being beyond the staff's meager ability. Out of seven nurses I have had attend me I grew to have confidence in the ability and professionalism in only two. This facility is woefully understocked in the necessary supplies I need for care per my doctor's instructions. I cannot wait to be discharged after a procedure is done away from here in a proper medical facility. Concern for profits are demonstrably more evident than concern for patients in this facility. Roughly two weeks being stuck here and approximately 85 of nursing staff and nursing aides continue to view the patients as major inconveniences. They continue to raise their voices rudely in response to reasonable requests. I have to beg for dressing changes ordered by my surgeon. The dressings were ordered to be changed daily and most of the nurses seem to think the changes are to be done at their convenience. The laziness, rudeness and incompetence of the majority of "caregivers" is equaled only by their inability to organize necessary paperwork or to communicate needed information amongst themselves or to comprehend physician's orders. I cannot remember a time in my life that I have felt more miserable or angry. Being stuck here for three weeks has been absolute hell!!

I have read many of the reviews about Fresh River and on how shabby the building is. The building is not the one taking care of your loved one it is the people who actually work there who are taking of them. We have found that from the lady who greets you at the door to the maintenance man, the cleaning people, the CNA’s, nurses, the manager and all the way up to the admistrator have been more than helpful and gone out of their way. One example Robin, our case manager, noticed that our loved one needed a bed with a footboard and before we left that day maintenance was already up to look at what could be done. It might not be the nicest looking but they are the most caring. He has been 2 hospitals (many times) 3 rehab facilities and the employees here are the most caring.

This place should be SHUT Down! The Neglect my family suffered at the hand of this facility lead to a horrible death. It should be deemed a crime!

If you’re charging for elderly to stay in this place and I know damn well that they are making plenty of money off of each person you’re gonna say that you can’t upgrade a van for transportation that is all rusted out from the old facility it looks like it’s from the 1980s it is in such bad condition the driveway has never been redone they have trees down from the storm that they’re not getting them cleaned up and taken out just outside alone I would never in my life put any elderly in that place and anybody that does put somebody in the elderly place I feel bad for those elderly
