Franciscan Post-Acute Care Center

I was admitted mid July 2023 after being transferred from Mercy hospital and have nothing but praise for my 12 day stay. The staff should be given kudos all around. I was a little concerned at first since I had never had this type of care but the entire staff from maintenance, nursing, PT and OT, the kitchen, and especially the administrator who was kind enough to rescue a very important Amazon package that had gone astray. I might need a readmission in the near future and I gladly give these guys 6 stars if I could.

The first night nobody from Franciscan came to great him the night arrived about 2 hours later …. The food is not appetizing at all. All of the staff and nursing and Anjelica were kind and friendly and were caring .

Mom was at Franciscan for 6 weeks. She felt ALL the staff had training in how to be positive and they were all very caring. Ryan (Rehab Director) was a great listener, very caring, helpful and so good at helping with rehab—he and the other rehab people made it fun, but they also watched to make sure they weren’t making mom do too much. Ryan was instrumental in helping mom and I decide what she would need at discharge so I was able to get a few things set up for her before she was discharged. Bethany worked with Ryan and made the discharge process smooth, answering all my questions! Brian (Facility Director) was always pleasant to talk to from when my sister and I toured before mom got there and each time I stopped in to discuss something. Mom told me he remembers every resident’s name and I believe it! I also believe “attitude reflects leadership” and it is obvious all the staff like caring for patients and get along well with each other! The only reasons I am marking this review as 4 instead of 5 is (1) for the food…mom rarely was able to eat their food (I made sure she had protein bars and often brought her meals). And (2) I never got to talk to her doctor who may have seen her once, but I requested a call a few times during her last week and a half but I never got a call.

I am fully satisfied with the services of everyone, socaring, attentive to my needs ( and I believe to all the other residents too ) and they keep the surroundings clean. Choices of food being served needs improvement.

My mother has been in short term care for several weeks and everyone here has been so helpful and genuinely caring. I'm especially grateful for their COVID protocol before entering the facility to protect our elders. I would highly recommend Franciscan Healthcare. I would like to thank all the nurses, especially Jennifer who was so gracious and the unit supervisor Bethany, who answered all my questions and was so supportive and understanding of any needs we had. I'm sure anyone who has had a parent in a nursing facility whether short term or more permanent care, can understand the heartache and stress involved. The staff at Franciscan Healthcare Center truly cares.

The staff at The Franciscan always took great care of my parents. They always treated them as if they were part of their own families. The facility was always clean and the staff allowed us to realize that Angels do walk amongst us all. God Bless them.

I can trust the care at Franciscan for my Uncle J. They keep me updated on every incident, any changes, and often just share some of the fun activities he is doing. Each person involved in his direct care, or the administration team, has reached out to keep me updated. Even when I can’t be with him, I know he is cared for. We truly are thankful for Franciscan care!

I can't begin to tell you how impressed I've been with Franciscan Healthcare Center for the 4+ years my Mom had been there. Everyone truly cared about her and they were so kind to me, too. They were especially caring in the last days of her life. It made me feel good to know that she had been in a loving, caring facility all those years. She had dementia, which I know is not easy to deal with, but everyone was so kind and gentle with her and the other residents. I will (and do) recommend Franciscan to anyone who asks.
