Foreman Counseling

I am honored to write this review for Stephen Foreman. If you don't know him, you should...because he will make your life better, your outlook brighter and make you feel like you DO MATTER. Mr. Foreman was a counselor at my son's elementary school in Nebraska. There were counselors before him and after, but in my opinion, none as effective as him. Stephen Foreman had a lifelong impact on the elementary students he came in contact with as a school counselor. My son and me met with Mr. Foreman to discuss issues and concerns at that time. What I came away with from those meetings was the knowledge that Mr. Foreman is a sincere, honest, empathetic and genuine person. He loves helping people. He is a listener. He is focused on you and the subject at hand. He truly wants the best for an individual and his positive outlook is contagious and heartfelt. If you are fortunate enough to spend time with Stephen Foreman, whether it's 5 minutes, 5 weeks or 5 years, you will be blessed to have known him, for whatever the reason. Stephen Foreman is one of the most respectful, non-judgemental, and ethical counselors I have met. He is genuinely empowering, compassionate and a great listener. His excellent problem-solving and organizational skills are obvious to everyone. Stephen is a seasoned counselor who is impacting the lives of many children and families in our community. I highly recommend him.

Mr. Foreman worked with my son. He helped him in many ways but some of the ways that stuck out to me was how he built the friendship and trust, held him accountable in the kindest way, helped him make a plan that was good for him to guide his own success. Mr. Foreman has such a great personality and very professional which makes it very easy to talk to him and work through things, even when you just need someone to listen. I would take any of my other children to see him if they wanted or needed to have someone else to talk to. I would feel very confident referring friends and family to see him that you would have a great experience.

Mr. Foreman in one word is “REMARKABLE”!!! As our school counselor, Mr. Foreman followed through with students as an advocate for students and parents. His lessons were stimulating, inviting and enhancing to the students and to the staff that heard him teach each day!! Mr. Foreman was extremely enthusiastic being around kids and always had the students’ attention! Mr. Foreman truly enjoys working with kids!! You could not find a better school counselor than Mr. Foreman! We were devastated to lose Mr. Foreman when he and his family moved back to Alaska! He was a true asset to our Meadowlark Elementary family!!

Stephen is a very intuitive and experienced counselor. His patience, understanding and compassion help children and their parents feel safe and valued. As his principal I observed his ability to address a multitude of challenges, but always putting the needs of each child first. I highly recommend him as a counselor.

One of the best students I ever had while teaching for fifteen years in the Counseling Program at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Stephen has exceptional counseling skills and will provide excellent services to the Kodiak community.

Stephen brings out the best in everyone and is so easy to work with! I highly recommend.
