Foothills Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine

My doc referred me to Foothills Sun City for treatment for neck and shoulder pain that persisted following an injury. Dr. Elana Trejo did my initial assessment and developed a treatment plan. I was impressed with her thoroughness and really appreciated that at each visit the techs who worked with me made sure that I was doing each exercise properly. This ensured that I did my “homework” right too. I finished up each visit with Elana who assessed my progress and added additional exercises as appropriate. We initially set up 12 appointments, but I progressed very rapidly and only needed 8 visits to see a huge improvement in range of motion and reduction of pain. I was able to turn my head 10 degrees more in each direction at my last visit! I highly recommend this location for its personal attention and excellent care.

Awesome Team and Awesome Experience!! I feel much stronger and more confident with the balance and gait issues I was having due to polyneuropathy. My physical therapist Elana was devoted and passionate about helping me regain my quality of life. She did a phenomenal job with the physical therapy program she put together for me. After 23 sessions, I walked out of Foothills Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine like a new woman. I would like to personally thank Elana for a job well done. Also, I would like to give special shout out to James, Briley, Kayla, and Jim for the positive vibes and motivation they provided to me with each session. You guys rock! As I begin my 3rd week of PT, post knee replacement surgery, I'm most grateful to Wendie in the reception area, who set up my schedule, as well as to James & Austin, the PT specialists who guide & monitor my exercise program. They are extremely pleasant & professional & a credit to Foothills.

I chose this place after my knee replacement because it is close to Sun City West. I was in a lot of pain, but they gently guided me through the worst of it. I enjoyed the whole staff!! They work together so well! It is a friendly, up beat place to take your pain, and get kudos for your progress!! 😄

My PCP referred me to Foothills for chronic shoulder pain that I'd been having for 4 months. Foothills staff is very professional in all they do from the reception/sign-in process through diagnosis, therapy, exercise instruction, and assessment. After you've registered for the first time and appointments are made, signing in is automated and if you have a bill to pay, you are immediately served by the receptionist. My experience with the PT staff was excellent - they set the bar for quality therapy. There is a cooperative, experienced, team environment in which at the beginning of an appointment one of the team members ensure that the target therapy area of the individual is warmed up through specific exercises. This is followed by specific, therapeutic manipulation in which the Physical Therapist incrementally corrects the issue. I recommend Foothills to anyone that is having chronic pain. They will address the underlying issues causing the pain and provide recommended exercises to prevent it from reoccurring. Special thanks and recognition go to Jim, James, Elana, and Austin for providing superior therapy to help resolve my pain.

Thank you Elana and all of your co-workers for helping me regain the ability to walk without pain. I enjoyed all of my sessions and I love the way the whole staff works together. You are all amazing.

The staff at foothills was great. Very professional and courteous. They were all especially caring. I'll be going back in a while for p/t after surgery.

Foothills is phenomenal! Everyone is kind and caring! I had a very successful hip replacement surgery, came to Foothills, and was on my way to a very healthy recovery! I ride my bike 8 miles, and feel great! Thank you Foothills, I will be back when my other hip surgery is done!!👍😊
