When I first got here I have to admit like anybody I was anxious when I got here from St. Francis Osf. So far I have been treated pretty decent. I'm in the B hallway and I have had good caring staff The first and second shift Staff have listened to me and address my questions and my personal concerns so far. I'm on here for infection in my legs from falling. The head nursre of this facility is such a nice person and listens to me and is so kind. The Dietary lady had addressed my questions . I mean Dietary she really listened to me and came through for me I want to thank her she really makes sure that things are ok and right.and Jamie is is the first person I saw she was so welcoming and she listened to me I am blessed that she addressed me and I want to Thank you Jamie you are truly a great person and I value you so much I am grateful that you took your time to make me feel welcome here at fondulac.also think the house keeper Vicki takes pride in her work and others keeping my room clean and I see i observed they scrub the hallways. Lastly. The kitchen cooks really need to be commended. I so far have really had decent quality food here. I know it sounds unusual but The food dishes so far have been really excellent The head cook Ann really takes pride. In her cooking. She makes quality homemade comfort food. It tastes fresh the vegetables. Her other cooks follow in her footsteps

“Nurse” Linda is the rudest and most degrading person I have ever met! She has no common sense or compassion. I watched her be so rude to patients, staff, phlebotomist, and even her peers. Something needs done with her.

Have heard horror stories of this facility and was reading reviews I agree with the person that says whoever's giving them five stars is probably the owner of the place or people that he knows. Someone or anyone with a loved one there needs to turn that facility in to the health department or an attorney . I hear the person that owns this place is very wealthy or just goes to show you he doesn't pay anything to the people that actually work and take care of the residents in there someone needs to lock him(the owner) in there for a year and not let him out. Let him try to get some service let him look at the depressing walls and floors nasty rooms and restrooms try to eat there disgusting food let him shrivel up and die there. Give it some time it will be just like the nursing home on Springfield road that has been closed down shame on the owner.

I could not even rate this HORRIBLE FACILITY the staff are very rude they DO NOT have compassion at this faciility. MY family member they cross contaminated them with MERSA did not take care of it properly they started to get big sores on the feet that they did not care for properly. Took the family member out ourselves and had the foot properly looked at and Doc Iam sorry but you have gangrene They then had to amputate there leg above the knee. So if u dont care if your family member lives or dies this is a great place... IF U LOVE YOUR Family member dont even concider this despicable excuse for Healthcare.

I wouldn't even give this facility one star, except you have to in order to post. My father was transferred there from the hospital. The room he was in looked like a storeroom. The paint was peeling off the wall, there was a huge tv turned upside down on a bed across from him, furniture sitting all over the place, closet was open and looked dirty. I wish I had taken some pictures but, just want to get that experience out of my mind. Will NEVER recommend this place.

I called there about my grandpa and they were rude, I went in later that day and the place is just depressing, I pressed the light to get help for my grandpa and after no one came I asked a lady at the desk and she gave every excuse for why no one had come yet, I waited a little longer and asked someone else and finally got some help. The wire by his bed for the call light is hanging out of the cord and could possibly break open at anytime. I wouldn't suggest not letting any family member come here.

Unfortunately I have a family member here. When you first enter the looks are deceiving. It looks very home like. Don't be deceived here. Rooms are not kept clean, the floors are disgusting. Entire facility reeks of stale strong urine. Probably 90% of the elder people have no idea what is going on here. There is only 1 RN that is on duty at all times. So resident care is not good to say the least. The employees consisting of all the upper educated staff are so extremely rude and hostile that you would like to ask them to step outside with you so that you could really let them know what is on your mind. The food is so very bad and no alternative choices are available. I was totally shocked at the lack of fresh fruit, vegetables, and fruit juice that is not served here. The only employees who seem to care for the residents are the CNA, and of course there is not enough of them employed. The total lack of respect given to the residents as well as family members who visit is unbelievable! The only people that show respect is the director, and the kitchen staff. The RN, LPN staff are so rude they need to take courses in professionalism, empathy, sympathy, and proper social skills. I would not recommend this facility based on those factors. Yes I would like to add that my brother passed away here on November 30, 2020. Of course there has been no visiting, however his wife said that he had lost a lot of weight. God knows the food there was disgusting! I can only hope that his final hours were peaceful and that he didn't suffer. I probably don't want to know the circumstances, honestly, it would probably break my heart. All if those good reviews are probably wrote by an inside individual because that place needs to be shut down. It is only a place where people go to die! If family had anything to say about it, my poor brother would not have been there. His wife put him there and left him there. She would not allow us to bring him to our own homes. Even though he had his own home. Please believe me that the staff there is substandard!! Only one RN per twelve hour shift!! That is horrifying! I'd be more than happy to answer any questions! So I had not been to the viewing when I last posted. Yes my brother had lost a lot of weight, I do mean alot! I am very concerned that there was a very large bruise on his forehead that even the mortuary staff could not cover up with their makeup! What could have happened? He was either in a wheelchair or his bed! Something bad had to have happened!
