FIRST STEP THERAPY

Hello, My son has gone to first steps for a little over a year now. I just wanted to take the opportunity to tell you how much of an impact your therapists have made in his life and ours. We have done OT with Felicia Tucker for the full year and SHE IS ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL. My son adores her and asks if we can see her everyday. He has advanced so far in his abilities and we are so appreciative. Felicia recently started seeing our older son as well for OT because of his emotional/physical issues related to autism and he adores her as well and is making good progress in just a few short weeks. Thank you so much for having such wonderful people on your team that makes such a difference for these kids.

MS Sarah Gant is an amazing manager very quick in doing her stuff she is very organized very caring and quick to help others she deserve a raise she resolves things very quickly. I had situations that she went up and above for me and showed me she really cared about others and she is very humbled. And she is one of the fastest managers I have ever seen in my life and efficient one I think she does too much this message if for the owner of first therapy she deserves a really good raise she is worth Gold and represent First therapy very well and keeps the business going smoothly. Coming to therapy here is the best experience ever! The therapists are wonderful and they love their work. Mara Newton is the best OT. We love her so much! She is incredible and our little girl loves her. We have seen so much progress since we started therapy. Highly recommended.

Mara Newton, OTR/L has been such a blessing for our family. We are so deeply grateful for her love and patience with our two year old. Our daughter genuinely LOVES Mara and gets so excited when we talk about her at home. Mara has gone far above and beyond for us in so many ways ranging from occupational therapy, to coordinating other forms of therapy and working with insurance/referring physicians. We feel so fortunate to have First Step and Mara!

My son has been with First step for almost a year now. Liz Green has been a wonderful OT therapist for my son! She does a great job with what she does. Liz is caring, patient and knowledgeable with ASD patients. Not to mention, she loves and treats my kiddo like it’s own. 😊 Cassie had my son for speech therapy and did a great job. She’s very responsible, has patients, and helps in every way possible. She works around her schedule to service my kid. I appreciate all that she has done for my kiddo!

We have been with First Step Therapy for 3 years where we have seen Paola, Lidia, Liz and Allison for occupational therapy as well as Sarah for speech therapy. Our overall experience has been wonderful for each therapist. They each are very compassionate, knowledgeable and most importantly - FUN! They are all so encouraging and really take the time to help our child achieve her goals. If we want to squeeze in another session or have to reschedule, they always are very accommodating. We have seen such growth in our child because of the wonderful therapy she has been receiving and look forward to seeing all that she can accomplish.

I love the therapist here. They are all so welcoming! My kids burst when they get out because of all of the fun things they do! Felicia, my kids speech therapist, always tried to accommodate my crazy schedule and I am soo thankful for the text communication I got. I would have forgotten so many times if it were for her. Amber, my sons occupational therapist, is awesome as well. She is always doing fun things with him. His favorite is the gym challenges!!

*long review coming so I can properly thank the incredible staff here* Both my son and daughter have Megan as their OT and she is phenomenal. They constantly ask about her and love being able to work with her. She has helped them both make great strides in their journey and I am forever grateful for her patience with them. She is one of the reasons why we love this facility. Her communication with parents is really great as well, I can always expect her to give me a full summery of their sessions with her and to let me know right away whenever their is availability to come in to do a makeup session. My son has two weekly occupational therapists, Amber and Allie. He calls them both his best friends because of the close relationship he has with them and the love he has for them. Before them, he constantly threw tantrums and had no idea how to express his emotions or himself. They've both made a huge difference in our lives and have helped not just him (socially and emotionally) but also helped me as a mom as well. He is a completely different boy than he was when he first began and truly am amazed on how far he's come in his journey with their help and guidance. I can also always count on both to give me a full summery of each of his sessions and provide me with any extra guidance on what I can do at home to help him as well. Liz is my daughter's OT and she is so great. Liz is one of the few people my daughter actually feels comfortable with to speak to (which is huge because she struggles with talking to adults in general). She works with her with being able to communicate with others, explore sensory play, and guides her with her big emotions. Liz has been able to encourage my daughter to do things for herself and helps give her the confidence that all little girls should have growing up. She is another OT who is great in being able to communicate everything that she has worked on with my daughter during her sessions and her overall progress.
