FIRST STEP THERAPY

This place is amazing!! All of the Therapists and staff are very helpful and professional. Felicia goes above and beyond, she is an amazing therapist and is always on top of her schedule. Sometimes when I had to make adjustments to my schedule, she will find a way for my son Ryan to be seen, and she will work around our schedule to find us the best spot!, that’s what’s a great manager will do. I recommend this place if you truly want to see a change in your child”s behavior, my son Ryan is another person after he started here since February of this year!.

My son had Ms Felicia as his speech therapist for over 2 years and she was excellent! You can tell when someone is truly invested in your child’s development and cares about their well being. She would always make suggestions for additional tactics we could try at home to see even more improvement. She is a skilled therapist and would make adjustments as needed to adapt to my son’s learning preferences. My son went from saying nothing at all in their first few sessions to participating and engaging by the time she moved. While we still have a ways to go on our journey to being independent, my son has made a great deal of improvement and I believe Ms Felicia played a big role in that. And for that, we are really grateful!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! I was very lucky after just a couple speech therapist I was able to find Felicia for my son. She is absolutely amazing. Her determination, patience, and follow through is remarkable. She has helped my son get additional help with just being open with me on what behaviors she observes my son doing!

The two front desk receptionists Lettish & Angela are such kind hearted individuals who understand when things come up last minute to reschedule you and work around what’s the best interest in my child, they are sweet to the children that come and go with handing out lollipops to the children also with a helping hand from kysha as well as translating for the office they do such phenomenal work! They make my child feel safe and comfortable as can be as well.

I would rather drive to Tampa for therapy for my son then to schedule anything with this place. Customer service is terrible. I spoke to Wanda Santiago and very condescending on the phone. I would rather take my business else where. They are not flexible with parents that work full time. Basically have to be on stand by for an open appointment. I’m sure there are other theraphy locations with up to date equipment and better customer service.

We decided to come to this facility to follow my son's speech therapist from the winter haven office because we love her so much and couldn't live without her. Felicia is my son's speech therapist and also according to him, he very best friend in the whole world. My son used to be nonverbal and did not speak for a very long time which is why I decided to start him in speech therapy to see if that would him. Felicia has made a HUGE difference in our lives. She is one of the reasons why he finally has a voice and is able to speak in full sentences and even starting to learn to read on his own. Without her patience and encouragement, he would still be struggling to put words together on his own. Due to her help and consistency he has been able to move mountains in his journey and I cannot wait to see how much more further he goes with her help and guidance. She has been able to help him gain confidence in himself and voice. Her communication is truly the best in the entire facility. She constantly keeps me updated on his progress and gives me a full report after each session and sends me a message the day before each session to remind me of our scheduled session. If she has time off, she always makes sure to let me know ahead of time. She always goes above and beyond and I feel like I could write an entire novel on her because of how much we adore her and everything she's done for us. She has become a part of our family we never want to let go of.

I always have a fantastic experience with Felicia! As a speech therapist/assistant clinic manager, she is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and supportive throughout my sons session. Her tailored approach has helped my son make significant progress in improving his speech and communication skills. I highly recommend Felicia to anyone seeking a dedicated and effective speech therapist.

We have been going to first step therapy for going on 3 years and our therapist Felicia is top notch. Our son has made such great strides from working with her and her team. So very thankful for her kind, patient, and loving nature towards our family.
