First Physical Therapy

I am 25 years old and I slipped while running and broke my hip on the ride side. Needed surgery the next day. After a grueling 8 weeks of immobility and steadily recovering post-surgery, I asked my Surgeon if physical therapy was recommended in my case, and she informed me there was no reason not to at least try it out since my insurance would cover it. Initially, I had my doubts about how much this would help me in the long-term of my healing process, but now that I've completed my last session, I only wish I was covered for more! I do my own work outs at home and I thought I could heal just as much on my own. Boy, was I wrong! This location has some of the most helpful and knowledgeable people you could hope for during any sort of rehabilitation. For every instance of struggle or difficulty during my assigned exercises and routines, there was a guiding hand right there with me, almost like an angel was watching over me while my body was working it's hardest on getting back it's health and stability. I want to give a personal thank you to Jesse, Joey, Nolan, Jose, D, and Brandy for their vast and helpful assistance in my recovery. The order isn't particular whatsoever; everyone was immensely encouraging and insightful during every aspect of my sessions. Receiving countless advice, care, and understanding, this place improved my rate of healing by at least 80%! If I have any more slips in the future, I know the first place I will look into if I could benefit from physical therapy again. I had back surgery in June and i needed to do physical therapy and i got recommended to this place by my doctor. My first appointment was with Nolan and i was very nervous because i had bad experiences with other therapist and sure enough he made my feel so comfortable and he reassured me he was here to get me back to work and that I would leave a normal life again and with the help Jordan they both have made me feel comfortable and they listen to me if I have pain or if i had a bad day it’s all gone when im there bc they listen and provide me with the care i need no pain is to small for them Nolan and Jordan and the whole staff always listen and are there helping me get back to normal so yes to me this is the place to go if u need therapy it’s my home away home I’ll always recommend this place

Before my mom went there, I went there myself for a pinched nerve problem. They're a great group of professionals who took excellent care of me and so I brought my mom to them. My mom was a difficult case to begin with. We didn't get the results that we wanted but we still got good results through their professional efforts. If I get hurt again I would definitely go to them for treatment.

I went here several times post arthroscopic medial meniscus repair surgery and after a couple months, my Dr. left for unknown reasons and I had to be re-assessed by a new Dr. When I came in for my first session with the new Dr. at this location, he took less than 10 mins of taking measurements and I was charged over $110. No therapeutic support at all on the visit. There should be a law protecting patients with a minimum face time/therapy session to prevent doctors from just taking people's money. Joey was the best provider here, however, I found other exercises more helpful from the PT I saw after I stopped coming here. I'd never go here again and would never recommend them to anyone I liked...

The best Physical Therapy that I have ever used! From the minute you walk through that door to the minute you leave, you will be receiving the best possible care! Knowledgeable Therapists, great exercises and strength building, working at your own pace. Give them a shot. You will be so happy you did!

Joey Scorza my physical therapist helped me tremendously when my right side Sciatic nerve was a problem in 2015. He helped me get off medication through various physical muscle movements. The same problem occurred in 2024 and with the identical results, reduced pain, improved range of motion and the knowledge how to move forward and help keep the problem at bay. The staff is caring, informed, professional and I highly praise them all.

My experience at First Physical Therapy was such a delight. It can be really difficult to maintain motivation to come to Physical therapy weekly, however the staff at the Durango location were so upbeat and encouraging that at times look forward to coming in. Such a great experience!

Absolutely love them. I have had a few injuries and they have always been so wonderful with each one. I have referred everyone i know to them. They're so knowledgeable and willing to help you, and help you long term not just a quick fix.
