Feeling Better

Matt is the reason I was able to make it through grad school. I have worked with a lot of massage therapists and tried many different styles of massage over the years and no one has been able to achieve the results that Matt can in a single session. His ability to identify and release tight muscles, all while providing entertaining conversation, is nothing short of astounding. I highly recommend booking a session, you will not be disappointed and will finally get some relief!!

I had a gnarly knot in one side of my upper back and had almost given up hope after traditional massages didn't help. Barely 10 minutes into my session with Matt, it was gone. He also released smaller knots in both sides. It was a very targeted session, which I appreciated. I'm writing this over a week after my appointment and my back still feels great (and knot-free) despite working long hours at a computer. Next time I have a problem that needs targeted help, I know who to call.

Matthew is amazing! I have an ongoing shoulder issue that is VERY complicated but his knowledge and confidence have done wonders. I’m still a long way from healed but Matthew has done more for my progress in a couple weeks than any of my doctors or physical therapists in the last 3 years!

My husband and I have been long-time clients of Matthew's. And we keep coming back - despite hectic schedules and a busy family life - so that says a lot, in and of itself! Matthew is excellent at what he does whether its helping with a foot problem, low back pain or a neck spasm. Matthew takes an enormous amount of pride in his work and enjoys what he does. Over the years I have experienced his honesty around his knowledge with a specific muscle group because he loves taking on a challenge and treats it as a learning opportunity. THE place you Need to go first!!! Matt has great Medical knowledge and experience, He also has outstanding communication skills and was able to set up an appointment for me last minute because I was in pain. He knows exactly what he's doing and with just one quick visit I was out of pain! Whatever is bothering you... neck , back , knee / knees , ankles , etc... give Matt a call, let him know your issues and see if he can help you before you waste any more time suffering needlessly.

Well, it's true what they say - Matthew is amazing! I had my 1st treatment this last Thursday. I waited to wait to review a couple of days to make sure the relief I was feeling after my treatment was going stick. And, it did. It's Saturday now and I still feel great! Matthew worked on my shoulder and neck area. Now I will be making my next appointment for lower back and hip flexers (sp?). Anyway, don't walk, but run to see Matthew if you're looking for a great therapist!

Matthew is a wonderful massage therapist. Through his excellent massage techniques, he has helped to improve my posture and release years of stress from my body, I think we do the myofascial release massage. His caring and friendly demeanor puts me at ease and makes me feel comfortable and safe. He is truly a healer, and has helped me enormously.

I was visiting Berkeley for two weeks from Michigan. I'm 65 with scoliosis and always schedule massages when I travel due to chronic pain, especially when I travel. I regularly see a chiropractor in Michigan and have had hundreds of fantastic massages in my life. I scheduled time with Matt even though I've never been to anyone who utilizes his technique due to the many reviews I read. I don't fully understand what he does but HE sure does. I have so much pain that I can't walk more than about a block, but after time with Matt was walking about 1/2 mile per day for the rest of my trip. Now I only wish I could clone him in Michigan!
