In my experience, urgent care visits are hit or miss. Often, I have a poor experience. This was not the case at all. This facility is truly deserving of the great standing it has on Google. The entire staff did a really great job during our visit. We highly recommend this facility.

It was our turn for our first COVID-19 vaccination. I was expecting some sort of organized chaos. What a wonderful surprise to find that the day after day event was amazingly well organized. Due to the excellent appointment process it was not crowed and there were virtually no lines. From the paperwork to the injection the process was smooth and fluid. Our military could probably learn a thing or two about logistics from these folks. The staff was extraordinarily well organized, friendly, and polite. The whole thing gave me confidence in the process and the staff.
I am new to Fruita and have not had time to find a new doctor. But on May 4 had a fall and went to the Emergency. All the staff was excellent. Fast to respond, very caring and explained everything every step through my process. They were very thorough as I had a head scan, X-rays, stitches, and wrist strap provided. They provided me handouts for follow up and for potential future primary care providers. Very pleased.
Very little wait for the Emergency department but the Dr's are dismissive and disinterested. Lab/Imaging is a farce. Pre op imaging took 2 hours since the machine kept shutting down and no one seemed to know how to fix it or reboot it. Nurses are great here, but Dr's could use some improvement and retraining on what "bedside manner" truly means.
Why is it that the administration goes room to room handing out bathrobes to the patients but the staff is unable to give the inpatients a bath? They say they are shorthanded , but that is no excuse. Going from Monday until Friday without even a bed bath is unacceptable. Then again from Friday until Tuesday without a bath until family mentions it! Again from Tuesday until Saturday until family mentions it! This is basic patient care! Do better people!
The intake lady and the Nurse working morning shift (8AM) on Feb 25th 24 were very rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. Did not listen to my concerns about my son and didn't let the Doc know what I communicated with her. Staff needs to learn compassion and basic customer service skills.
Not impressed. Mom admitted post surgery not once but twice after discharge. Felt like they just wanted to get her out even though vitals were not good. Discharge instructions and information were very lacking. Lots of miscommunication. Overheard nurses talking not so pleasantly about mom and other patients. Totally understand this is a very tough job and I know I couldn’t do it so I am always in admiration for the ones that choose this profession. However, regardless of medical needs and challenges it is crucial to always maintain some professionalism. Definitely will make sure not to use this hospital again. Would rather request courtesy transport to one of the other two. I’m disappointed because I know there is a need in this part of the Valley and many people don’t have an option.
My husband and I received our COVID vaccines there today. The process took about 10 minutes from arriving to getting our injections. We had to linger 15 minutes more to guarantee no adverse reactions occurred. It went very smoothly. Great jobs folks! Thanks for all your efforts to keep us all safe!
