I have been a patient with Family First for many years, besidesDr.Susan Nasser being the best Dr.on the planet there is someone else that needs a shout out. Tony is Dr.Nasser's guy who handels the prescriptions and insurances. Dr.Nasser prescribed me medicine that was working for me, but insurance felt I didn't need it and the cash price was not in my budget .2 week's after that news, Tony calls and says he had been dealing with my insurance and got them to approve it .This is something he chose to do .They had already said no .He got them to say yes. I will forever be grateful for Tiny .In my experiences there are not too many Tony 's out there .

Started as a patient of Dr. Nasser's. Cause she's retiring I switched to Nurse Practioner, Gisela. Got a call that Gisela left the practice & got rescheduled with Nereida, the new nurse practioner. I waited over an hour after my appointment & still hadn't been seen. I had to return the next day to finally be seen. Really inconvenient. And most of my past appointments felt rushed except with Dr. Romeo Castillo. The front desk female staff member on the 2nd floor seems to not like her job cause she's always very short & not friendly. Plus, their online patient portal that's supposed to have been activated months ago still doesn't have current data. I was tolerant of the practice challenges cause of Dr. Nasser & Gisela. Now that they're both gone am not sure am going to stay a patient at this practice especially cause I didn't even get an apology from Nereida about the hour long wait without being seen. I recommend you to research other family clinics instead of becoming a patient at this practice.

I went there for an office visit and to refill my medication’s. They forgot to send my refill prescriptions and made me go back for another office visit and drive 45 minutes to get them sent. They made a mistake with the intake of my information and didn’t get my prescriptions filled. The manager offered to waive my co-pay for the second visit due to the mistake. She lied I still had to pay the co-pay. Management there does not hold the staff accountable for their mistakes and offers fake reimbursements to the patient and doesn’t follow through. The Management there is awful.

Update: FYI if you are a patient and they didn't tell you either: they are NO LONGER seeing regular patients. They have transitioned to urgent care only. They didn't bother telling me until today. Wow does that make sense for all the issues I have been having with the office. Go elsewhere! I had nothing but great experiences until susan Nasser left. I was switched to Gisela who helped me navigate weightloss post pregnancy. I held off on utilizing medicine as I was steadily losing(despite some temporary plateaus). However it had paused for 2.5 months despite calorie reduction diet/ exercise. I made an appt with gisela to discuss the medicine- sending req to insurance, only to be told 2 days before she left and I would be seeing a different nurse practitioner. Scared about the prejudices/pre conceived notions on overweight patients Drs already have I was stressed to have to re prove my efforts to medical staff. Well turns out my fears were warranted. Not only did they not include in the first pre authorization notes about prior weightloss or programs utilized, as recorded in my records, I was denied the medicine by my insurance bc supposedly there was no proof I tried any sort of programs. I went back in and spoke to them again showing proof of the programs I had been using. They stated they were going to run it again and to check in on Friday/Monday. Well I called to check in and not only did the person who processes it on family firsts side get mad at me and state "I already told you what you need to do" they stated, before checking to see that I had went in person and was told to call "you should not have gotten other departments involved" Oh yeah, and it got denied again. Needless to say if your looking for assistance with weight loss or other major health concerns, I do not suggest going here unless you want to be judged/work hard to have them believe you. If you can afford it, do Kaiser.

I am so very happy to be having these wonderful people to be my new healthcare home. Everything goes smoothly. They manage the patients visits well, without having to wait long. They are very thorough and respectful throughout the visit. They are willing to talk and explain and answer your questions. Also, it is easy to contact the right person. That alone is worth its weight in gold.

Friendly staff. I've never had a long wait. I, and my son and his wife , see Simarjeet Manocha. He actually listens to you and gives good advice. He has great follow up. He has his staff call with test results.

Dr. Nasser has been compassionate and devoted to my wife's condition. She spends as much time as possible with us, even with great demands for her time. I am very grateful for her.
